Grey -- Help with Waivers!!! (first post of the season)

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Grey -- Help with Waivers!!! (first post of the season)

Postby ace2525 » Sat Apr 20, 2013 7:50 pm

Hey Grey, long time no comment (I used to comment daily last year, but seems like your 10x busier this year!) Anyways, figure I'd post in the forum rather than congest the already endless comments on your blog!! { Congrats on the high traffic volume, must net some nice advertising $$ :) }

Here is the lineup, 12 team roto, was in last for first month of the season, but in 2nd place as of last night!!!

C-Weiters
1B-B. Moss
2B-Daniel Murphy
3B-Wright
SS-Lowrie
OF-Holiday, A. Jackson, A. Soriano
Ut-Headley & J. Buck
Bench-A. Cabrera, D. Span
DL-Freeman

SP-Verlander, Dickey, H. Bailey, S. Miller, Estrada, Hellickson, J. Fernandez, J. Johnson

RP-Janssen, Putz, J. Henderson

Waivers offense include; A. Hill, Ike Davis, Melky Cabrera, Hafner, Duda, Ruggiano, Denorfia, M. Adams, NAVA, G. Parra

Pitchers (not as much interest) = W. Rodriguez, Villanueva, Detwiler, Guthrie, & Quintana..

I Require the following stats in order(my worst --> better) -- AVG, SB, ERA, HR, WHIP, RBIs, Ks (I have the most runs, 2nd in saves & 4th in wins)

My thoughts were grab Ruggiano, then I saw Nava! What moves would you make, given my situation?

Thanks in advance Grey, always appreciate your feedback & will send you a beer ~~ paypal donation ;)

Well Cabrera could help your Avg so I might drop Span for him. I know Hill is on the DL right now but I like him more than Murphy at 2B. Only thing Hill doesn't help you where you need it.

As hot as Nava has been I would probably go that route. I don't expect it to keep going and he will run into playing time issues when Ortiz returns but I think he will help you the most for the short term.

I now have Chris Johnson from ATL & Melky Cabrera instead of Moss & Span...also trying to get A hill on waiver claim for my DL spot since Freeman is back at first base for me, D murphy slides int/stays at Second Base

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
