Medlen vs. SF

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Medlen vs. SF

Postby cws05nuts » Mon May 25, 2009 1:00 pm

SF offense = bad. Vs. Lincecum? Im erring towards being cautious and sitting and then ditching if ugly. But, I'm hurting for starts this week too. SP's are getting really thin. I had to pick up Kawakami and Romero too... Mostly because Edinson is down. But, any suggestions on what to work with?

In a 12 team league or deeper, I'd start Medlen, but it could be ugly. Could you put the depth of your league in your signature?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Yeah, it's a 12er. So, I might have to roll the dice. We get 10/max starts and I am projected for 6ish this week - depending on whether or not I start Medlen and Romero. But, if Edinson's back spasms escalate/continue. Or bb's escalate. This will continue to be problematic. I've punted SAGNOF... for the most part till the FLA/Phi situations become more cogent. Then I might move on Calero/Nunez or Madson.

Alternative FA spers:

Cook (who you hate), Tallet, Uehara, Feldman, D Davis, Looper, Lannan, or Pavano....

Ugly to yawnstipating in no particular order.

I don't hate Cook, I own him in a few leagues.

I'd go with Uehara, Cook, punt...

Ok I'll sluff Romero and Medlen and roll with Cook and Uehara.

Thanks for the input!

But, I will find the Grey quote where you say: "I wouldn't own Cook in any league."
