SP Question Revisited

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

SP Question Revisited

Postby shill » Wed Apr 10, 2013 9:25 am

I have asked 2 or 3 times about making a move with my SPs in the sig. Every time I have been told to just hold. I will be honest, Beckett has not shown me to this point that he is that much better, if any at all, than some of the FAs hanging out in my league. That being said, are any of these guys a better option at this point?

Ryu
Masterson
Maholm
Cobb
Hughes
AJ Griffin

Maholm is a must own right now. Can you just stream?

So far this year Beckett's velocity has been on par with the end of last season when he was getting killed and at least a couple mph under his bounce back 2011 season. I think I'd go with Ryu. Maholm would be close.

My only thought on Ryu vs Maholm... While Ryu is an unknown we know he has a historically high K rate in Korea and if he can maintain 80% of that as he has so far he looks to be a pretty good investment.

We know who Maholm is... a 5-6ish K rate & a 3.5-4 ERA and not the guy who is currently sporting a 9.24 K/9, 0 ERA and a babip 80 points lower than his career rate.

I could stream, but at this point I would rather just roster some guys and roll with them. I stream more come playoff time.
