The draft for the team below (Those Medlen Kids) was this weekend, and considering I had the second pick I'm not that pleased. Missed Goldschmidt by one pick (so I took AGon) and I am probably at least one SP short with a 1350-inning limit, especially considering I won't start Cashner right away, and sometimes will sit him on the road. I also have too many OF for three slots (the UTIL slot will be taken by Morales if he hits). And I think I'm short on speed.

Questions:

Anyone I can drop outright? Maybin seems like the most likely drop but I could use his speed. The top speedsters (based on 2012) on waivers are Dee Gordon, Campaña, Dyson, Schafer -- all at positions I don't need -- and the most owned SPs are Tommy Hanson, AJ Griffin, Mike Fiers, Mark Buehrie, Ricky Romero. Or the stream-o-nator pick du jour.

I have two DL spots and am not using either. If I drop someone should I pick up ARod and stash him there for trading later? What about Beachy (he's not on the DL yet but I assume he will be when the season starts, right?). I could use the extra spot for a stream-o-nater pick.

Any general suggestions?

Sorry for the long entry ... but I'd really love some help from my fellow Razzballers, and Grey, of course.

Team seems ok. A couple hitters I would be worried about is Morales and Bonifacio but they both could surprise, me at least and you won't have any problems.

SP could use a little more depth. I would consider grabbing Fiers and dropping one of your OF. Personally it would be Hunter for me.

Thanks for the input Mauddib. Morales was a flier, so I'm not counting on much from him but I'm hoping Bonifacio will get me some SBs.

Updating my list of available SPs, in addition to Fiers and Hanson, there is Dillon Gee and AJ Griffin. Do you think Fiers is the best of that bunch?

I really wish I had better choices, but I guess this is life in a 14-team league with 24 roster spots.
