Grey, thanks again for your help with my teams. I finished just outside the money last year but I've got my eye on the prize for 2013.
I would love two pieces of advice this year:
1). Which three players look like keepers to you? H2H 5x5 12 team mixed
Bring the Cain 1. (9) Evan Longoria (TB - 3B) 2. (16) Giancarlo Stanton (Mia - OF) 3. (33) Matt Cain (SF - SP) 4. (40) Desmond Jennings (TB - OF) 5. (57) Justin Upton (Atl - OF) 7. (81) Mat Latos (Cin - SP) 9. (105) Brandon Beachy (Atl - SP) 10. (112) Hunter Pence (SF - OF) 12. (136) Billy Butler (KC - 1B) 13. (153) Johnny Cueto (Cin - SP) 15. (177) Craig Kimbrel (Atl - RP) 18. (208) Chris Sale (CWS - SP,RP)
My second question is regarding a change to my league for this year. We will now be a locked weekly lineup league, against my arguments. Can you offer any advice on how this changes draft strategy? I'm a PEDS believer normally. I'm thinking that SP becomes more valuable since streaming becomes impossible. Given that my league has gone heavy on batters early in the draft the past two years, I'm wondering if I should "zag" this year and go heavy on top tier pitchers. I'd love some thoughts.
Thanks

Upton, Butler and Sale
I play in a weekly H2H league and I still stream. It does minimize just how much you can do so getting a couple guys that you can start no matter who they pitch against really helps. I then usually get 3-4 solid RP/closers. Then when I stream pitchers, I am looking for 2 start pitchers to throw out there.

Wow I thought Kimbrel was a steal in the 15th. You'd rather have Butler? I was thinkin upton, kimbrel and then either sale or stanton. The reason for Stanton is that my 2nd rd pick will not have much value otherwise.

I would be fine keeping Stanton over Butler. Sale is one of your best values and I wouldn't let that one go. As for Kimbrel, yes he is a pretty good value at 15 but I think you have better values than a closer. Who knows what Kimbrel will do this year and I wouldn't use one of my keepers to find out. Maybe he has another very solid year or maybe he goes the way of Broxton or any number of past closers.
