Yahoo-Need to autodraft-Please check out these mock drafts

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Yahoo-Need to autodraft-Please check out these mock drafts

Postby jason20000 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:58 pm

I'm in a YAHOO league with the following roster/categories below.

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL
Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG)
Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the draft, so I need to use autodraft. I set my rankings accordingly, and ended up with the following teams (testing with pick #3 and pick #6) .

How do these teams rate?

Also, any advice on how to tweak your rankings for using auto-draft? Unfortunately, you cannot tell it in advance how many of each position that you want. For example, I would prefer to have pitchers at the end of the draft but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that w/o wrecking the rankings.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

I don't know how many teams... You could also enter them in here: http://razzball.com:3000/ And see how they do...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

It's a 12 team league.

Any suggestions on how to tweak your rankings to account for a yahoo auto-draft?

One kinda crazy idea is to put all the catchers on your "do not draft list" then you can pick someone up after the draft and will not waste a pick (or two) on a catcher. It worked with me for kickers in football.

Interesting idea, but I still have the problem with not getting the type of players I want at the end of the draft. I could test with taking out most offense players after a certain draft position to try to force the pitching... Thoughts?
