I'm in a 12-team, points league, with twenty-three man rosters. one catcher, 1b, 2b, SS, 3b, 3 OF's, UT, 5 SP's, 2 RP's, and six man bench. Our point structure is pretty generic: one point for total bases, hits, walks, runs batted in, 2 points for steals; negative points for grounding into a double, strikeouts, and caught stealing. Concerning pitching, we have wins, quality starts, saves, strikeouts, outs; negative points for hits/runs allowed, walks, blown saves and losses. I hope that quick scoring rundown wasn't too muddy.
We get can keep up to six players, but you have to add three dollars to their total. It's an auction league and we get a total budget of $260. I'm going to list some players and the (number), it will cost to keep that player. I'm just not real excited about my potential keeper prospects and am tempted to scrap my keepers' as a whole. Just looking for some constructive opinions. I appreciate the help.
Ca: Mauer (27) 1b: Konerko (25) 2b: Altuve (4) 3b: Miggy (48) SS: Andrus (21) OF: A. Gordon (11) OF: Holliday (37) OF: Choo (20) UT: Zimmerman (24)
SP: Bumgarner (40) SP: Peavy (4) SP: Anibal (11) SP: Vogelsong (4) SP: Capuano (4) RP: Nathan (5) RP: Perez (8)
I should point out that everyone decent gets overpriced in this league and the bidding gets inflated. For example, Miggy would go for over $65 if not kept.
