2013 Prospects-Who's the best long term 'Keeper'?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

2013 Prospects-Who's the best long term 'Keeper'?

Postby citizen5 » Thu Jan 10, 2013 10:14 am

In my roto league we can draft 1 player with MLB rookie status and 'sign' him for a 4 year contract.
(I'd love to sign Manny Machado but he is no longer considered a Rookie by MLB)

In year 2 he becomes your 12th round pick,
year 3, 10th round
year 4, 8th round.
My 'contract' with Wieters expired at the end of last season and I am looking towards the next prospect class for a replacement. Ideally, it would be a player that started on Opening Day 2013 but if he was promoted in May to a full time job that would be ok too.

Who fits this criteria best?

Agree with above. Then Yelich / Bogaerts for me.... Then I'd get into the arms. Yelich closer, Bogaerts ceiling is really high IMO.

If you're looking long-term, Baez has to be in the conversation. However, I HIGHLY doubt he starts in Chicago for another year or two.
