Which SP to pick up?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Which SP to pick up?

Postby Hebrew Hammer » Tue May 19, 2009 5:41 pm

12 team mixed, 5x5 categories...

looking for a BACK of the rotation guy. I can play them in their good matchups only. The 3 best availiable starters in my mind are Scott Richmond, Brian Tallet and Matt Harrison.

Which do you like for stream starts for the short and long term?

1b- Encarnacion
2b- Altuve
3b- Donaldson
SS- Crawford
CI- Belt
Mi- Dozier

OF- M Brantley
OF- J Pederson
OF- J Marisnick
U- K Bryant

P- F Hernandez
P- J Zimmermann
P- J DeGrom
P- Quintana
P- Buchholz
P- S Greene
P- Chapman
P- Gregerson
P- AJ Ramos

Bench
Castellanos

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

He's got better stuff than the three you mention. I'd take a flier on him, but be careful of match-ups.

Happ's ballpark scares the bejezus out of me.

i may give him a shot

i feel like richmond will be ok because of his solid K/BB ratio and the fact that he doesn't allow homers.

i feel like harrison is ok but very few k's.

i feel like tallet is warm garbage.

Harrison's home park doesn't scare you? Richmond's a 29 journeyman pitching way above his head right now.

Harrison's ballpark scares the bejezus too....but with his high ground ball rate it might be OK...

bottom line is they are all suspect...

richmond may be a journeyman but may give him a shot.
