I don't think Lopez for Pestano is the answer here. He is in committee too....so....

I say let's look at the saves and holds again and maybe punt one. Maye the SAVES. A guy can go one week without one!

What about I drop Pestano for a MR? Seems like a good strategy. A guy who loads the Ks, low ERA, ER, and WHIP with good K/BB if possible.

My FA and ROSTER are below...but here are some options. Some of these guys get holds. Maybe I go that way? But I like the idea as stated above. Or I add one more SP or MR and drop a SP like Wandy or Lester?

Rex Brothers (Col - RP)
Mitchell Boggs (StL - RP)
Fernando Salas (StL - RP)
Casey Fien (Min - RP) P
Francisco Rodriguez (Mil - RP)

Or what about grabbing someone who is SP/RP starter this way I can use him in the RP as a SP?

And these options

Jeff Samardzija (ChC - SP,RP)
Kyle Kendrick (Phi - SP,RP)

H2H - Mixed, 12 teams, Daily, W-L-T
W, K, ER, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, ER, CG, SHO
SV, HLD
Playoffs week 22-24

FA
Jeff Samardzija (ChC - SP,RP)
Rex Brothers (Col - RP)
Kyle Kendrick (Phi - SP,RP) 0
Mitchell Boggs (StL - RP)
Fernando Salas (StL - RP)
Casey Fien (Min - RP)
Matt Albers (Ari - RP)
Brandon League (LAD - RP)
Francisco Rodriguez (Mil - RP)
Sam LeCure (Cin - SP,RP)
Sean Doolittle (Oak - RP)
Edward Mujica (StL - RP)
Luke Gregerson (SD - RP)
Glen Perkins (Min - RP)
Javier Lopez (SF - RP)
Wade Davis (TB - SP,RP)
Santiago Casilla (SF - RP)

Roster
SP Jon Lester (Bos - SP)
SP Mat Latos (Cin - SP)
SP Madison Bumgarner (SF - SP)
RP Vinnie Pestano (Cle - RP)
RP Ernesto Frieri (LAA - RP)
RP Kris Medlen (Atl - SP,RP)
P Wandy Rodriguez (Pit - SP)

BN Matt Cain (SF - SP)
BN Yovani Gallardo (Mil - SP)

I'd grab Mitchell Boggs from those options... Samardzija if you wanted to go with an SP, but he's risky...

Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

And what about Lopez over Boggs?

I think a committee is perfect. Sometimes you get holds, sometimes you get saves, you always know Lopez will pitch late in the game. He's perfect?

Okay I went Lopez and dropped Pestano

Now what about Ernesto Frieri? He's been waste for over a week.

Suggestions?

Lester just killed me! I should have not started him. I am getting smoked in my pitching. I lost 2 points JUST because I started him tonight. I am losing all week ER, ERA, WHIP, K/BB just the same in past weeks.

How am I going to win a playoff when I am playing a team who was in last place and not even making the playoffs and getting smoked? I can't go into the playoffs with this raggedy-ann pitching staff.

And Frieri is a wasted spot too. He's done nothing to help me all week or past. At least another MR or RP is at least producing.

I only have one move left and I need decide Lester or Frieri goes this week. I am thinking the bumb Frieri.

Then deal with Lester Monday morning and look for another MR or RP or a two-start SP?

Perhaps I go with a Brandon League who gets Ks and excellent ER, ERA, and K/BB or someone like that?

Suggestions for Frieri and Lester?

Roster
SP Jon Lester (Bos - SP)
SP Mat Latos (Cin - SP)
SP Madison Bumgarner (SF - SP)
RP Javier Lopez (SF - RP)
RP Ernesto Frieri (LAA - RP)
RP Kris Medlen (Atl - SP,RP)
P Wandy Rodriguez (Pit - SP)

BN Matt Cain (SF - SP)
BN Yovani Gallardo (Mil - SP)

FA
Jeff Samardzija (ChC - SP,RP)
Luke Gregerson (SD - RP)
Brandon League (LAD - RP)

Rex Brothers (Col - RP)
Kyle Kendrick (Phi - SP,RP)
Mitchell Boggs (StL - RP)
Fernando Salas (StL - RP)
Casey Fien (Min - RP)
Matt Albers (Ari - RP)
Francisco Rodriguez (Mil - RP)
Sam LeCure (Cin - SP,RP)
Sean Doolittle (Oak - RP)
Edward Mujica (StL - RP)
Glen Perkins (Min - RP)
Wade Davis (TB - SP,RP)
Santiago Casilla (SF - RP)

Ye I know.

I guess the only thing correlated with save opportunities is offense and bullpen strength. The Angels have a better offense and a better bullpen than any other closer on your wire, I'm sure of it. And Lopez will get me a save or two. So maybe I should not worry about Frieri. I guess this is how things go. Only thing I can do is pick up another reliever if I want more opportunties.

If I want to drop Lester for the two-starter, sure. Just need to look at the schedule next week.

As we know, matchups are sooo important to pitching.

So count five starts from Lester's last start, what's that?

I guess there are better matchups than the Angels.

What's Wandy's next start? Obviously, if he gets a bad team, he's usable.

Next week playoffs starts. Schedule for these two looks like.

Lester vs @ Sea
Wandy vs Hou

Those are both nice starts. But Lester at SEA is a great start. So I guess I keep Lester

Now....the FA 2-starters

Matt Harvey (2-3, 2.75, 36 IP, 43 K/ 15 BB) 9/3 @ STL – Kelly 9/9 vs ATL – Hanson

Mike Fiers (7-6, 2.97, 93.2 IP, 96 K/ 22 BB) 9/3 @ MIA – Nolasco 9/8 @ STL – Westbrook

Ross Detwiler (7-6, 3.25, 127.1 IP, 79 K/ 35 BB) 9/3 vs CHC – Samardzija 9/8 vs MIA – Nolasco

Miguel Gonzalez (5-3, 3.66, 66.1 IP, 49 K/ 25 BB) 9/3 @ TOR – Happ 9/8 vs NYY – Hughes
Jason Vargas (13-8, 3.75, 180 IP, 111 K/ 45 BB) 9/3 vs BOS – Buchholz 9/9 vs OAK – Ross
Jeff Samardzija (8-11, 4.09, 151.2 IP, 153 K/ 54 BB) 9/3 @ WAS – Detwiler 9/8 @ PIT – Burnett

I like Harvey's two-start next week.

Do you agree and if so, drop Wandy for Harvey?

Or just look for another RP for Wandy?

Or just roll with Wandy?
