Juan Cruz

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Juan Cruz

Postby Beane Disciple » Mon May 11, 2009 3:02 am

I know Ziegler is faltering and he'll probably lose that job so I wanted to hang on to Bailey. I had to drop him, however, to pick up Juan Cruz. Was that a bad move?

I'd hold Bailey slightly over Cruz just because Soria is supposed to return and take the job back, but it's not an awful move.

Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.

Bailey is gone, but Cruz is available. Should i drop Zeigler for Cruz, then drop Cruz when the next closer comes along?

Basically, Im wondering if you think Zeigler is a waste of roster space.

Now I have a dilemma of sorts. I dropped Bailey for Cruz before I knew that Ziegler was banged up. So now Bailey will not clear waivers for a few days. There are a few starters I'm eyeing for spot starts or there could be a closer I could use for a few days. Am I making a big mistake by just dropping Ziegler to pick up a useful player?

Alright so I'm going to drop him. Here's what I'm thinking:

There aren't desireable closers on the wire other than Bailey but he's on Waivers for a few more days. Therefore....

1. Put a Waiver claim in on him 'cause I sorta need him to give myself 3 closers

2. For the next few days, until the waiver claim goes through, spot start the Starting Pitcher that has the best mixture of talent/favoreable matchup.

So my spot starter for tomorrow comes down to....... Cahill, home vs. KC or Zimmerman @ San Francisco. I'm leaning toward Zimmerman right now.
