Trying to fill my empty spot

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Trying to fill my empty spot

Postby Vince » Thu Apr 30, 2009 3:40 pm

12 teams, H2H, 5x5, Non Keeper

My lineup:
C: Chris Iannetta
1B: Adrian Gonzalez
2B: Rickie Weeks
SS: Asdrubal Cabrera
3B: Miguel Cabrera
OF: Carlos Beltran
OF: Carlos Lee
OF: Corey Hart
Util: Jay Bruce
Bench: Jayson Werth
DL: Stephen Drew

SP: Johan Santana
SP: Roy Oswalt
RP: Heath Bell
RP: Frank Francisco
P: Fernando Rodney
P: Adam Wainwright
P: Josh Johnson
Bench: Matt Cain
Bench: Ubaldo Jimenez
Bench: Tommy Hanson

I have a 3 for 2 trade that's going through tomorrow so I need to decide which player I should add from the wire to fill my empty spot...

Some available guys are :

HITTERS:
Wieters (just dropped, will be a FA tomorrow if nobody picks him up with his waiver pick)
Dukes
Choo
Crisp
Bradley
Cameron

PITCHERS:
Street (is he worth a pick up just to see if he gets back the closer role?)
Parra
Wolf
J. Sanchez

Who would you pick up from those players? Who would better fit my team? I like Dukes and Choo but I already have to bench an OF most nights...
12 teams, H2H, 5x5, Non Keeper

C: Napoli
1B: Teixeira
2B: Phillips
SS: Reyes
3B: A-Rod
OF: Kemp
OF: Holliday
OF: Granderson
Util: Quentin
Bench: BJ Upton

SP: Lincecum, J. Santana, Weaver, Hamels, Dempster, Nolasco, Cueto, Volquez
RP: Aardsma, Nunez, M. Gonzalez

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Thanks Grey. Another question... Who do you prefer between those two underperforming young SP for the rest of the season : Ubaldo or Parra?

So would you drop Ubaldo for Parra now or wait and see which one improves his game first?

Alright thanks!

I posted two questions in the Trades section. Don't know if you saw them (if so, I apologize) but I would really like to get your opinion :

Yeah, I agreed with what you were told. If I felt different, I would've said something. The Bills trade is very close, but Bills is slightly better than JJ.
