It seems like whomever I drop gets blessed with the mighty hammer of Mjolnir.
I'm in a 12-team mixed league that is as deep as the throat of fat busted girl.
The starting lineup features 2 catchers, one 1B, one 2B, one 3B, one SS, one CIF, one MIF, FIVE OFs, two UTIL -- so that's FIFTEEN hitters in the starting lineup. And there are five bench spots.
Basically, guys like Jon Jay are starting and Chris Denorfia is taken. Currently, the FA with the best season so far is Kyle Seager, and the best "overall ranking" FA is Jose Tabata.
So, as you can see, pickens are slim -- so it's that much more painful when you drop someone good.
Here's the list of players I've dropped so far:
Bryan LaHair (before Week 1, for A. Bastard) - .381-12-6-15-1 Gerardo Parra (Week 3, for Mat Gamel) - .260-15-2-11-8 A.J. Pierzynski (before Week 1, for Carlos Ruiz) - .289-7-5-18-0 Carlos Ruiz (Week 2, for Devin Mesoraco) - .329-10-4-17-0 Mike Trout (before Week 1, for Bryce Harper) - Just got called up Bryce Harper (before Week 1, for Justin Smoak) - Just got called up Chris Davis (Week 4, for Ty Wiggington) - .316-13-5-13-0 A.J. Ellis (Week 3, for Kurt Suzuki) - .306-6-2-10-0 David Murphy (Week 3, for Jonny Gomes) - .277-7-2-6-1 Pedro Alvarez (Week 3, for Mike Moustakas) - .242-11-6-12-0 Jon Jay (Week 1, for David Murphy) - .429-10-2-8-3
And it's not like I've picked up anyone good. Mat Gamel was probably my best pick-up, and he just tore his fruggin' ACL.
