Current team in the signature. Jackson to get the boot when Ortiz returns, and I plan to pick up Cashner (not many good DL guys on the wire) to place in Ortiz's DL spot.
I have a Q about strategy: My offense is insane, and my pitching is so-so (actually, it's been great lately, but I'm not sure how much I can trust it in the playoffs against teams with two aces). Trade deadline is the 17th. I'm wondering if I should just stick with what I have and be nearly guaranteed most offensive categories or move some excess offense for a pitching upgrade. Astoundingly, considering I'm a chronic mastertrader, I think I should just stay put and see if Latos, Fister, Zimmermann, etc. can stay hot.

Don't think a Wainwright trade could happen- his owner is a die-hard Cards fan- so I offered Bruce for Greinke, hoping that his recent struggles would encourage his owner to sell.

Bruce for Greinke got rejected, so I'm going to just roll with what I have. Except that I just discovered that someone dropped Jose Quintana a while back and I didn't notice it. It's understandable, because he's had some crappy starts lately, but it's hard to pass on a guy with his numbers and RP eligibility. So should I drop Affeldt to grab him?

With Cuddyer returning to the DL, I have a roster spot for a flyer...Grab Billy Hamilton, Profar, Wil Myers, or Guthrie? Any pickup would not need to be used for a few weeks; I am entrenched in first, so the next three weeks up to the playoffs don't matter much. Another option is to grab a MR for holds, which I haven't gone after yet this season.

If all of those prospects are available, why not grab a Holds guy until the last week or two of the season and then grab a prospect... Seems like they'll be there... I'd go with Profar out of them, if you wanna go with a prospect now...
