We're just switching to a keep 1 in the league this year. Keep him where you got him and place him in the round you got him last year. Obviously a shallow league. I've drawn the 9th pick out of 10. I'm chosing Justin Upton in the 5th round over Pujols in the 1st. I've told 4 guys my decision so far.....3 think I'm an idiot while 1 thinks it's a really smart move.

I've done the math with my assumed team keepers included and who I have an idea will drop to me in the 1st/2nd. If I keep Upton I see either Votto or Longoria coming to me in the 1st round. In the second round I'd be looking at a Pedroia, Kinsler, or maybe Granderson.

If I keep Pujols I give up my 1st round selection and am looking at a Pedroia, Kinsler, Granderson match.

Why am I being mocked by the majority of the league just for thinking of throwing Pujols back in? Is there something I'm missing? Doesn't it make more sense to have Votto/Kinsler/Upton after the 2nd round than it does Pujols/Kinsler and whoever coming to me in the 5th round?

Pujols is better than upton. He is a top 3 player. But 3 top 20 players is better than 2.

If it's unlimited keeper rules, your league mates are more likely to be crying than laughing when you're only burning a fifth rounder to keep J-Up year after year...
