Jacobs or Jackson?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Jacobs or Jackson?

Postby Beane Disciple » Sun Apr 19, 2009 9:02 am

12 team roto 5x5. Conor Jackson going on waivers- he's worth picking up, right? I can just drop Guthrie now to pick him up but will eventually have to decide between Jackson and Mike Jacobs. Should I just drop Jacobs now to put a claim on him, or is he ultimately more valuable than Jackson?

Where will Jackson play? You need another bench hitter?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Jackson would back up Prince Fielder at 1b and could be slid into utility or OF (he has dual eligibility). I guess the real question is which player would you rather have as a backup 1b/spot starter at utility, Jackson or Jacobs? My reasoning is Jacobs because there won't be that many starts at 1b and you can slide him into Utility when there are extremely favorable matchups (i.e. bad right handed pitching + a hitters park). As a daily starter I'd probably rather have C. Jackson but situationally I think I'd take Jacobs.

I'd agree with you. Jacobs does better for matchups.

I'd rather have Jackson.

he can slip into util or OF with a good matchup. His park is a better hitters park and he'll visit Coors Field often. I guess the "Cell" is similar, but whatever...

and I think Jacobs sucks...
