I have Lackey and Devine going on the DL to start the season. Im trying to decide on the best FA pickups to take their place. Im in a keeper league but can only keep 2 guys.

Im thinking about adding Travis Snider or Elvis Andrus. Or possibly both. If Snider starts off hot and hits a bunch of HR's or Andrus steals a lot someone else will want to jump on them.

Also considering:

Brad Penny: He hasnt been healthy but if he finally is he could be a great pickup. He'll get wins playing for Boston.
Andy Sonnanstine: Any reason to like him?
Brett Anderson: I drafted Zimmerman in the last round, but I could see Anderson being better.
Rick Porcello: See Anderson.
Scott Downs: It sounds like he may start the season as the closer. I dont have the best closers so I could either keep him for the saves or trade him off to the guy who owns Ryan.
Ivan Rodriguez - He could be better than Navarro.

Here's my team
C-Navarro
1-Feilder
2-Kinsler
3-Cantu
S-Rollins
O-Holliday, Hart, Torri Hunter
U-Hawpe, Butler
B-Crisp, Dukes
SP-Halladay, Kazmir, Wainwirght, Garza, Slowey, Parra, Maholm, Zimmerman
RP-Bell, Fransisco, Zeigler
DL-Lackey, Devine

Thanks for the help.

Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Should I drop Volstad for Downs?

Not sure why I have such an attachment to Volstad.

Did you leave his sister at the altar or something?

Poor Volstad. I hardly knew ya.

He has matchups potential, but you don't need to be carrying him when there's a potential closer on waivers.

Thanks for the advice. One more thing.
Lackey and Devine haven't been DL'd just yet and Im sure Downs wont be out there long. Debating whether or not I should drop Butler for Downs now. And add Butler back when the guys hit the DL. I doubt there's as much interest in Butler right now as there will in Downs once he is announced the closer.
Agreed?
And what about Accardo? Is Downs still the guy to get?
