FONTENOT!...though Hill will probably see more ab's as the no.2 hitter for the Jays. Either way, I think Fontenot pushes above 18hr and .280ba with 10 steals. Are you crazy Phil? Srrrsssly? Yep.

The Wonder Hampster (is unofficial nicknames in Cubs circles, or Lil' Babe Ruth if you're Ron Santo), hit a rediculous .305/.395/.514 last season in 284 plate appearances. His batting eye is legit, and if Pinella is smart, which I suspect he is on most days, will get Fontenot 450 pa's this year and bat 2nd half that time.

But 10 steals? The Cubs really don't have any serious base stealers besides Soriano or Theriot. Couple that with Fontenot's career 66% SB% and OBP, and you have a guy with lots of opportunities.

Also check out his Spring Training so far: .385 /.429/.821 with 3hr, 4doubles, 2triples. Gahldang!

But won't more at bats vs. lefties hurt him? I'd use him in a platoon, but that means having two slots taken up by scrappy infielders. And I'm a cubs fan and love watching teams underestimate his power, but that won't last if he really comes on.
