11 players for 8 spots

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

11 players for 8 spots

Postby BBQKing » Thu Feb 12, 2009 5:45 pm

Here's who I've narrowed it down to-razzball top 100 '09 ranking in (x)

Soto (65), Kinsler (16), Aram (26), Rollins (15), Rios (36), Victorino (42), McLouth (49), Peavy (28), Shields (75), Soria (91), Loney (nr)
14 Team Keeper (8 kept per year)

Right Now I'm thinking:
C
1B
2B Kinsler
3B Aram
SS Rollins
OF Victorino
OF Rios
OF McLouth
U
SP Peavy
SP
SP
RP
RP
P
P
P
8 bench

So for my last spot, I'm deciding between Soto, Shields, and Soria...leaning Soto (I'm a Cubs fan), but is that going too hitter friendly? If so, which pitcher is the better one to keep, starter or reliever? Wieters, Snyder, teagarden, and Napoli will be available in the draft at catcher. At RP, not sure, as most everyone was rostered. Starters went pretty deep as well. Loney's not a top guy, but do I risk losing him and having to draft someone worse. Methinks I am overthinking this, and really I can't keep Loney with the other talents (esp. since there's no CI requirement), but only 1 pitcher on the roster makes me a little worried...any advise appreciated.

SS Starlin Castro ($9/$13/$17)
3b David Wright ($34/$34)

Because you have Peavy, I'd keep Soto. For full discolsure sake, I'd want Shields over Soria.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Should I be trying to package an OF and another player (say, shields?) for a 1B or an upgrade at OF?

An OF and Shields for a 1B could be a good way to go, but I don't know what the other teams have to give you for them.
