14 to keep standard 5x5 with 9 pitchers

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

14 to keep standard 5x5 with 9 pitchers

Postby d2bnz » Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:47 pm

Got myself into a baseball league for the first time last year , bought a team on the cheap that no one seemed to want ....gee shoulda sensed a pitfall, I'll admit to trading away Carlos Delgado when he was hot , Adam Jones and Maybin in return .....and I had to put down JJPutz
This is the 14 as I see it
C....Ianetta
1B....C Kotchman
SS....S Drew
CI ...I Stewart

OF J Bruce
Adam Jones
Hunter Pence
Shane Victorino
C Maybin

P Chris Young
Adam Wainwright
Mike Pelfrey
Josh Johnson
Kerry Wood
Reserves : still available.... Chris Carpenter , Dustin McGowan.....Troy Glaus Howie Kendrick
Hank Blalock Andrew McCutchen Daniel Murphy

I have second pick in the redraft and am eyeing Yovani Gallardo. Although I really need help at 2B/MI I dont think I can keep Kendrick most likely a round 20 pick.
So where am I going wrong ??

Iannetta's fine but I see no reason to keep him. I'd chuck him back and keep Kendrick instead. Gallardo will be a nice pick, but how do you know he'll be available? Who should go first?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Wow only one change to my order ?
Gallardo was thrown out by another team that has already set their 14 and the player drafting first has proudly announced to the league that he/she ...Kim....will be taking Jason Heyward and I have no reason to suspect misdirection
Thanks for todays heads up on Wandy ......Just love that sort of info, value with a late pick that is gold

keep Ianetta, Kendrick won't play 100 games, hit 10 home runs or steal 10 bases.

With 14 to keep I'm assuming there's not a whole lot of MIs to go around. That was why I told you to go after Kendrick instead. But like youngid, I don't particularly love him. I just feel Iannetta can be replaced more readily.
