future studs

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

future studs

Postby ticklesack » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:32 am

i saw the post about top keepers for 2009, but what are some names of guys in the minors that are potentially as good as david wright, jose reyes, hanley ramirez, ryan braun, etc. i'm in a keeper league and the only way to get guys like this is to grab them before they get close to the majors.

who are the guys in the minors that are as good as the names above (looking for starting pitchers too)? how far away from the majors are these guys?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

yeah. i guess i was asking if there are any guys (besides wieters, rasmus, heyward, gamel, mccutchen, price, etc.) down in A or AA ball that are going to be as good as david wright, reyes, ramirez, etc.

i'm looking for guys that are far down in the minors that are going to be that caliber-type player, that will get the call up in about 2-3 years. i want to stash these guys away for the 2-3 years while they're in the minors, that way i have them when they finally get called up.

i guess you would've posted about anyone else if they were worth posting about. i'm just trying to stay ahead of the pack, LOL.

In no particular order...
Madison Baumgartner
Rick Porcello
Trevor Cahill
Brett Anderson
Jarod Parker
Neftali Perez
Justin Smoak
Pedro Alvarez
Mike Moustakas
Lars Anderson
Tim Beckham
Buster Posey
Eric Hosmer
Logan Morrison
Mike Stanton
Nick Weglarz
Stephan Stalsburg is still in college, but you'll want him when he comes out in this years draft. Consensus #1 pick.

How can you not love a guy called Buster Posey?

And Justin Smoak just has to be a hard-throwing reliever...
This IS my f**king outlet!

did you mean Gordon Beckham above and not Tim Beckham?

If not, what about Gordon Beckham, and Angel Salome?
