2 out of 3 keepers

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

2 out of 3 keepers

Postby papasmurf » Mon Jan 12, 2009 5:38 pm

Hey Grey and all,

Need to decide on these 3 potential keepers here.

I can either keep 1 or 2 of these guys, but must keep at least 1.

My league is universe, 16 team 6x6 (counts OBP too). Usually around 80-100 players get kept each year.

My options are Mclouth, Dye, and Cliff Lee.

No salaries, only production is of concern.

What do you think?

thanks

Papasmurf! Great to see you back. I'd go with McLouth and Dye and toss back Lee. You guys had a good run. Now you gotta let him go.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I'd keep Lee over Dye. For some reason, I think he'll be good/great again next year.

Also, Jermaine Dye is repeatedly underrated, which makes me hate him. How about everyone properly evaluates him, so he can turn in a huge bust season? Sounds good to me.

If Dye gets traded to LAA, I hope that it happens soon before I have to send in my keepers decision. Less favorable park.

I think it might be his not so good 2 or 3 month stretch last yr, but I don't have a lot of faith in Mclouth. I am currently trying to trade him for Tulo, which may turn out to be a big mistake, but in a 16 team league, SS production is hard to come by.

PS, Mclouth can only play CF and I have Beltran, more the reason I don't value him too highly for my team.
