Given that the MRs I listed above are the only MRs currently taken (plus Hawkins, who is on waivers until the 17th), can you recommend a couple of em? Right now I'm considering Balfour (7 games, all at home, BOS and MIN), Arredondo, Devine (OAK hosts LAA and SEA), Wade (4 @ PIT, 3 SF), Okajima and Thornton, in that order.

Thanks for the help. And the vote of confidence in my offense.

Devine, Arredondo, Balfour then Okajima.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Right on, thanks.

How about the OF situation? Does Hamilton, Granderson, Kemp, Cruz and Rios sound right? Markakis just Sparkakissed.

I'd start Markakis over Cruz.

Ugh, I can't imagine much worse of a start to my playoffs. My team went 2-20 (fortunately one of the hits was a HR by Shoppach). His team went 14-38 with 4 HR and 18 RBI, thanks to starting mostly Sawx and Teagarden's slam.

At least I've got him beat in ERA, WHIP, and SV (Rivera pitched an inning to notch a save).

Anyhow, nothing really to say but blech.

I do not understand how Cox can sit Kelly Johnson right now. He's their hottest bat over the last month, is hitting lefties better than righties this year and wasn't that much better against righties last year anyway. Cox clearly does not have my best interests in mind. Shame on him.

Eh, never mind. I'm sure its just to get Prado some ABs, and Prado's numbers are pretty nice as well.

Cox likes to sit KJ against lefties. Didn't I mention this to you?

Yeah, but I was hoping that Cox would keep him in b/c he's been hot. I also had already dropped Roberts for him before I found out. That said, if the Braves are playing a lot of lefties next week should I switch Johnson out for Aviles? Aviles has been great, has hit better away, and will have 3 @ DET and 3 @ MIN.

I thought Marcum leaving in the second was going to kill my stats, but then his Liriano left in the second as well after giving up 4 ER! I'm not sure if I like this game more when my team does well or my opponent's does poorly, but its probably the latter. I'm a jerk like that.

I'm with you on that. I enjoy when my opponent does poorly. Schadenfreude!

Aviles has been good and I could see making that switch.

Also, Johnson could still see some time if a righty is in the game later.
