RMT PLZ OMG BBQ

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

RMT PLZ OMG BBQ

Postby J!m Future » Mon Mar 20, 2017 4:33 pm

You know the drill. I can't help it, I crave validation.

12-team Y! 5x5 roto auction redraft, 1500IP cap

C Gary Sanchez $31
C Austin Hedges $1
1B Freddie Freeman $32
2B Dee Gordon $18
3B Mike Moustakas $4
SS Jean Segura $13 (got caught trying to price enforce, but hey, Peraza went for a buck more!)
CI Tommy Joseph $4
MI Tim Anderson $4
OF Bryce Harper $44
OF Yoenis Céspedes $19
OF Carlos Beltrán $2
OF Eric Thames $2 (cue Book Of Mormon soundtrack: "I BELIEEEEEEEEEEEVE...")
OF Jacoby Ellsbury $4
Util Max Kepler $1

BN Jung Ho Kang $1 (Moustakas insurance - projections can't tell them apart, and Statcast data says one should break out - tho in Kang's case that could well be a prison break)
BN Byung Ho Park $1 (KBO trifecta! Plus, hey, no risk at this price - RIDE THE [spring training stats] SNAKE)

P Clayton Kershaw $48
P Edwin Díaz $9
P Craig Kimbrel $10
P Garrett Richards $2 (The velo's back! ...but is anything else?)
P Michael Pineda $2
P Cam Bedrosian $1
P Matt Shoemaker $1
P Lance Lynn $1
P Ivan Nova $2

BN Kyle Barraclough $1
BN Carter Capps $1
BN Daniel Hudson $1

Kind of surprised at the result - I went really projection-heavy in my prep and wound up with more Razzball-matazz than I normally would (ToJo, Anderson, Kepler...). Could be great, could be toast by mid-May. (Granted, that could happen to any roster.) Weakest point is probably a starting staff of Kershaw & The Dollar Doods, but that's nothing active management can't alleviate. (My 2015 staff was headlined by Phil Hughes: Ace, so I'm no stranger to cobbling together a mid-season rotation from spit, used gum, and waiver wire.)

You're not going to be toast by May, league's too shallow for May toast... You know I love this team, you have so many of my darlings. I'd BBQ w/ them any time. Your Kang and Park flyers are terrible tho, but that's small issue

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

HA! Thank you, o most gracious mustachioed one - this is the most you've ever liked one of my squads!
