Hey ya’ll welcome back to the DK shuffle.  We do this daily and since, at this point in the season, you’re probably here everyday, lemme get straight to the point.  The Giants suck right now.  Nothing pleases a Dodger fan more than to be able to say that and know that I’m not being a homer.  Bonus points when you live in enemy territory.  Those of you who share my pain can relate, right?  I spend my daily grind getting lit up by the Tortured.  I’ve watched the Dodgers be relatively unimpressive and gain almost 20 games on the Giants in the last couple months.  I checked the last 30 days on Los Gigantes hitting and here’s what I found: 90 wRC+, .292 wOBA, .242 AVG and .651 OPS.  Hard to be scurred uh dat… Plus they’re facing Chris Sale, Intimidator (CSI) in the spacious confines of the beautiful AT&T Park.  The only guy on the Giants who’s been hitting is Panda and he is basically a golden sombrero away from giving up switch hitting, he’s so bad as a RHB—sandwiched between Juan Perez and Ryan Vogelsong against LHP on the team…  Sale averages over 10 K/9 and carries a 1.85 ERA on the road this year.  I’m not feeling very confident in the majority of SPs out there today so I’m rolling with Sale everywhere today, even at $12,500.

There is so much value out there today on the bat side of things.  So much so, that it just might be worth stacking your pitching with Adam Wainwright and Sale… Before you build your lineup today, ensure that you’ve taken a good look at the DFSBot.  Rudy’s phenomenal tool, as Mrs. Gamble calls it, cranks out the day’s best value plays and even breaks it down to expected $ per point.  As the Ombotsman has proven, the DFSBot has been a much more accurate method of ranking value than Draftkings salaries have been.

Mat Latos, P: $8,900 – Latos has all the components of being an ace, but hasn’t put it all together this year.  I’m not claiming he’s going to do that today, but if you wanna spend up on pitching but not pay for Wainwright, Latos has some serious potential today.  And that is based more on the Sawx’ ongoing, but moreso, recent troubles at the plate.  Over the last 14 games Boston hitters are abysmal, sporting an embarrassing stat line of .240 wOBA, 46 wRC+, a .545 OPS and 23% K rate.

Dan Haren, P: $5,700 – If you want to take advantage of the nifty grab bag of tits hitters that are out there today, you’re gonna have to be thrifty on the mound.  Haren is my top value play mounting the rubber today.  He’s had a bit of a rocky road, but last time out was smooth sailing against a very potent Angels lineup posting 24.7 DK points.  Considering the Braves K at a 22% rate on the year and it’s not budging against RHP or last 30 day splits, I’d say it’s legit.  They might hit a HR or two against him, but Haren should be able to eye a QS and K more than 1 per inning.  Yeah, BJ Upton has 5 HRs against him in 36 ABs but he’s also struck out 13 times.  Besides, it’s hard to get mad when a BJ turns into a home run…

Kyle Hendricks, P: $6,100: Theo does actually seem to be building a nice squad for the future in Cubbieland.  He was patient and developed post-hype sleeper Jake Arrieta who has seemingly arrived as an interim ace until the glutton of punishment bats arrive.  Kyle Hendricks has arrived on the scene this past month as well averaging nearly 19 DK points per outing since his call up and 4 ER over his last 4 starts.  The Brewers are a formidable opponent and I don’t expect a ton of Ks but they’ve never seen this talented young right-hander and that should work in his favor.

Mike Minor, P: $6,700: I’m fading Minor today who is facing a Dodgers team who has found a way to manufacture runs even when missing their top guys.  Minor gets pounded harder than a porn star by a scorned MMA fighter.  Too soon, yes sorry, but I only get to post once a week…  Minor holds a reverse split of .428 wOBA and 6.98 ERA against LHB.  Adrian Gonzalez is looking phatter than a Mack Booty today.  Get right @ChristyMack! We all prayin for ya…

Wily Peralta, P: $7,500: Peralta has been a nice surprise this year and he’s kept the damage down overall, but the Cubs have slapped him around pretty bad this year.  The two main culprits have been Anthony Rizzo and Starlin Castro who are a combined 18-40 against him lifetime and have each had multi-HR games against him this year.  Wrigley promotes days like that.  I’m trying to make it obvious… I’m avoiding the Wily like a softball All-Star.

Dioner Navarro, C: $3,200 – My how hitter values have changed since the Draftstreet merge!  Navarro is a fantastic value today facing Chris Young.  At nearly a backup’s price, Navarro sports a perfect line against today’s starter at 4 for 4 with 2 BBs and a HR.

Jose Reyes, SS: $4,200 – Reyes was 7-18 in his last 3 games before getting the day off against the King last night.  His peripherals support a bounce back down the stretch and he’s my top pick for a stolen base today.  He’s reached base 5 times against Chris Young and stolen 4 bases.  In a lineup that’s very stackable today, he’s a nice catalyst and a great play.  Jose Bautista and Melky Cabrera should be played in stacks today if you’re going that route.  Bautista is flaring up and Melky owns a line of 3 for 3 with 2 XBH against Young.

Chris Davis, 1B: $4,600 – And here’s today’s Daily Dong!  Hard to recommend him in regular fantasy as of yet, but in DraftKings, like in Korea, dongs are gods.  He’s got 4 in his last 7 games and is facing a RHP today.  I salute you Chris Davis!

Josh Hamilton, OF: $3,800 – He’s been basically ice cold lately, but if he’s gonna turn it around today is as good as any.  He’s in Citizen’s Bank facing a really bad pitcher that he owns.  Jerome Williams has allowed Hamilton to go 6 for 11 with 3 HRs and those were in much worse hitter’s parks.  The cold streak is offering a nice buy low option to support the pricey Sale today.  Angels are also the stack of the day according to the HitterTron.

Mike Trout, OF: $5,400 – Trout’s a dime, for sure and he’s in the stack, but he ain’t no stack of dimes.  Trout is today’s magnum play sitting at $20 higher than #2 on the HitterTron.  ‘Nuff said.  Albert Pujols, Kole Calhoun, Erick Aybar and Howie Kendrick are all good stackers as well.
