Yeah mainly got him for the steals, but also thinking the Nats are pretty strong offensively 3-5. Felt worth a waiver claim. That team’s kinda odd, but the RCL draft everyone had your board–I ended up with an excess of avg/runs type contrubuters in the outfield and was short on speed and power. I just went with what value was around, and it was guys like Span. Glad I listened to you preseason and didn’t try and trade for either, hit on the Austin Jackson flyer and kept my eye on the waiver wire. Still need more home runs and RBI’s but a .286 average and stronger than expeced starting pitching have kept the team in 1st place.

Of that motley crew, which do you like best long term? I’m thinking Harang. Reds D is pretty good and he’s been better of late. Would be nice if Houston unloaded and sent Myers somewhere he could win… then again he’s a douchebag, so never mind.

@DrEasy: Try and trade Montero or Posada, whichever gets you more, but in that order. Maybe someone selling low on Bartlett, though I’m not crazy about him really.

What’cha think about Nyjer Morgan going forward? Seems the two spot would be an improvement if nothing else and he feels like he’s gonna go back to being a .280ish hitter ROS? I picked him up in one league last week and just curious to hear your op.

With 6 upcoming starts to his 3, I should be able to take K’s by sheer volume. I’ve got Piniero now. Cahill at home sounds good but that 5.03 FIP is creeping me out. Hope he has another good game in him before the hits start falling in.

Now I don’t mind the occasional sonavabench, but it’s particularly annoying when it happens the only time you put the guy there.

If I had to drop one, it’s gotta be Posey, right? Worse line-up, less pop, etc.? I just don’t trust Jorge completely after the injury. He hasn’t been hurt this bad since he took that bullet at Gettysburg.

Weekly, 5×5, no trades, 10 man league

My bench: Damon, Stanton and Roberts, so I think I’m leaning toward dropping a P.
Which leaves me: Contreras, Wandy, Slowey, and Itchy Buchh

I want to say drop Contreras, but Rudy mentioned he’ll likely get a few more saves, which of course makes me start to overthink things, so now my brain is mush.

Standings wise, I’m 6′s across the hitting categories (tops in SBs). I’m within reach of stealing a few points from Rs, otherwise I think that I just want to maintain.

Available SS I’m considering: Guz, Aviles, Castro, Tejada, or anyone really. (I know you like FLopez, but the hand injury worries me)
