What do you think my needs are? I have the last pick so I have back to back. Should I go hitter/hitter, hitter/SP, hitter/Closer or SP/Closer?

@Grey: Recent blurb on Rotoworld saying Choo doesn’t plan to miss 2011-12 seasons and has a “backup plan” if he doesn’t get an exemption. Probably doesn’t change your answer on Sean’s keepers, though.

OK, here’s another one: Glaus is at UT only in my league. He’ll get 1B eligibility with the Braves. And if/when Chipper goes down for his usual mid-season DL stint, Glaus could even add 3B eligibility.

I don’t expect Figgins to move to 2B either. But, is there a list somewhere of players that don’t have multiple position eligibility (or additional position eligibility) yet but will play new postions in 2010?

Beckham moving to 2B and Tejada moving to 3B are the only two I can think of off the top of my head. Beckham at 2B (and with multiple position eligibility) is going to be a steal next season, assuming most people just rank him as a 3B.

One last plea for advice — it’s my last few hours to make my keeper decision. Who do you keep in this format:

12-team, mixed, 7×6 (we count 5×5 + OBP, SLG, and HLD); 25-man rosters with 3 DL slots, 11 offensive positions, 1500 IP.

Straight keepers (up to 8, with supplemental-round picks for each player less than 8 kept — I expect 82-96 players off the board to start). Players can be kept for up to 3 years after drafting them.

Draft is serpentine; I pick 11th in the first round.

I’m keeping:

Evan Longoria (3B) (year 2 of 3)

Adam Dunn (1B/OF) (year 2 of 3)

Pablo Sandoval (IF) (year 1)

Adam Lind (LF) (year 1)

Jay Bruce (RF) (year 2)

Adam Wainwright (SP) (year 1)

Tommy Hanson (SP) (year 1)

DO YOU KEEP:

Ian Stewart (2B) (year 1)

Heath Bell (RP) (year 1)

Hunter Pence (RF) (year 3)

I’m torn between Stewart and Bell, but ESPN Insider guys say keep Pence. What sez you?

Thanks, Grey. Forgot to mention my league uses OBP in place of AVG and QS instead of W. Still like Jones over Choo as the 6th keeper? In addition to Broxton, I also have the option of keeping Josh Johnson. Does that change things in your mind?

@SuckMyWieters: In my $ H2H league that staff would get you slaughtered. Its a 10x10. In pitching we count Losses, QS's, etc.... plus you HAVE to throw at least 32 innings per week. So having some solid SP'ing, logging your innings, and logging quality innings is KEY. If you throw a guy or two out there and they blow up your week is over.

@mc serch: Yeah, I don't think that Victorino is a bad play, even if he ends up batting seventh. He may get the green light to make something happen before the pitcher spot, but I've also seen managers get conservative in that situation because they don't want the pitcher to lead off if Victorino would get thrown out and Ruiz can't get on base for the pitcher to make the third out.

@sean: The move to the top of the lineup may make sense on paper but it may be more of a political calculation which leaves J-Roll where he is...anywho, if Victorino does stay in the 7th spot, doesn't this mean a decent jump in rbi's hitting behind Werth and Ibanez? Also, why wouldn't he steal more from that spot, rather than less? Rather than bunt him over with the #8 hitter, wouldn't Charlie Manuel rather try and steal the bag so that the #8 hitter gets a shot at an rbi? Maybe the drop in Runs Shane-O will experience will be more than offset in terms of RBI and SB production.
