After my RCL moves I am ready to just say F-it and adjust my pitching strategy which has been to stick with a consistent staff and fill the seven spots each week with 4 starters and 3 closers. I am ready to dump Bedard and Hudson leaving two open positions to fill with two start pitchers that I pick and dump each week.

Here is the CBS info on Hudson:
Braves SP Tim Hudson has ligament damage in his pitching elbow and went on the 15-day DL on Monday. General manager Frank Wren said the club is trying to get Hudson an appointment with orthopedist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., this week, fearing a torn ligament might require season-ending Tommy John surgery. “It’s not good,” the GM said. “It’s more than inflammation. Some of the damage is old, some of it new.”

I now need to find a starter, or two, and drop a big name, or two, who won’t be taking me through the playoffs in a H2H league.

@Grey: 2nd place will get me $150 so not too shabby. Our league only keeps 6 guys. My options for keepers are Tex, Rollins, Braun, BJ Upton, Markakis, Atkins for offense. My other pitchers I have now are Shields, Verlander, Billingsley to go along with Felix.

@Grey: I'm currently 4th in the league with 79 points. The leader has 100 points so he may be hard to catch, but i'm only 1 point behind 3rd and 6 points behind the guy in 2nd. I figure I could gain about 8 points in wins and quality starts alone if I get decent pitching. I just know wins are hard to predict but I figure beckett has a better chance to get more wins then felix just based on the teams they pitch for. I really don't have a need for Pena at this time but he would be nice to have in case of injury. What do you think?

In my keeper league i’m behind in wins and quality starts but am close enough where I could make up a lot of ground if I get some good pitching. The guy in last is really interested in trading for Felix so he can keep him. He is willing to give up Beckett and Pena for Felix. Should I do the deal or is Felix to Beckett a wash?

Jason Isringhausen will resume getting save chances over Ryan Franklin, Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan said Monday.

So much for that vote of confidence to Franklin. It’s probably the right move for St. Louis. Franklin was terrific in the eighth inning for more than a full season and might be more comfortable there. The Cards will still be shaky in the ninth, but maybe now they’ll have a few more leads get that

@Zebo:from rotoworld…… Braves placed RHP Tim Hudson on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow tightness.

All indications were that Hudson was going to start Tuesday, and maybe he would have if the Braves were still in the race. Putting him on the disabled list might be an admssion by the team that the Braves are out of it.
