Would you drop Niese to grab Madson or Contreras? I have Kershaw, Haren, Marcum, Volquez, Chacin, D. Hudson, and Kennedy already. My closers are pretty solid too but I figure I have more than enough starting pitching.

That said, depending on format and who you drop. I might want the McCutchen/Chacin side, but that’s because I play in an OBP league.

Is Beachy a better add than Niemann? Rookie pitchers scare me but, as a number 5, I guess upside is the name of the game.

Also, I’m hoping I can drop Dotel if Rauch proves solid as Octavio really is trash.

You know, veteran saavy and all that! Manuel is crazy-loyal to Lidge, for seemingly no good reason other than Lidge probably has the confidence of a panda bear (I’m kind of making that up… not sure if panda bears actually have low self-esteem problems), so Charlie has to prop him up.

Can’t do that now, Charlie! Give the job to the old man (he may actually qualify for Social Security) and let me taste the sweet success of vultured Saves!

@BigRedLatrine: Travis Wood just seems to project well based on ZIPS and Marcel. I think his ceiling is Ted Lilly – solid ERA/WHIP/Ks.

@Wake Up: wow…you never want to take the ‘over’ on a bill james projection. that said, he’s still young and has flashed some power in Spring Training. 10 HRs might be the ceiling for this year but others are saying he might peak at 15 HR power (http://rotoprofessor.com/baseball/?p=9141).

It is a lot of work though, vulturing for Saves. One of these years (probably when I have kids), I’m gonna just pick 3 top closers and cruise. And finish 7th.
