Man is baseball great and unexpected. We’ve got Bronson Arroyo throwing Quality Starts and getting wins versus the defending champs.. IN 2017!! Eric Thames loaded on Kimchi and Korean BBQ hits every pitch out of the ball park. One of the best pitchers in the game, Madison Bumgarner, is out for a while cuz he fell off his dirt bike. You never really know what to expect in this game. Only thing we know is that we have games every night and a chance to play the greatest game of all…Fantasy Baseball. We have a solid slate for Tuesday night, but one pitcher that really stands out to me is Micahael Wacha ($13,600) of the St. Louis Cardinals. He has been pitching well this year, 2-1 record with a 2.41 ERA. He has been striking people out at a pretty good rate as he has 17 Ks in his 18 innings of work this season, and he has a great matchup vs. the depleted Toronto Blue Jays. They currently rank 25th or worse in Runs Scored, HRs and Avg. Already down Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki due to DL stints, they are now traveling to a National League park and wont have the luxury of the DH. To add insult to injury, the Blue Jays ranked 5th in the MLB in Strikeouts, so a big strikeout potential is in the cards for Wacha.

Clayton Kershaw is also taking the mound tonight, I don’t need to tell you to pick him. He is an automatic start in DFS as long as you are willing to pay the price. He is priced at $27,600, squaring of against the San Fransisco Giants. A slugfest is expected in Coors in a matchup between Joe Ross and German Marquez. As always there will be a high own percentage in this game but it might be smart to fade Kershaw and get some bats from this game. Some solid pitching options are available on the slate tonight. Lets take a look at the picks.

Kyle Hendricks, SP: $19,600- Started 3 games last season vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates and won all 3. In all the starts combined, he pitched 19 innings allowed 1ER and struck out 21 batters. The Pirates currently rank 28th in runs scored for the season and 27th in Homeruns hit. This is a good spot for Hendricks to get back on track after his shaky start to 2017.

Chase Headley, IF: $6,600- Off to a great start in the 2017 season, has been crushing RHP. Gets Rick Porcello tonight, has decent numbers vs. him in his career (7/19 3 Doubles).

Kike Hernandez, IF: $6,000- Getting an opportunity at playing time with all the injuries LA Dodgers have. Has been hitting lead off vs. LHP, has an OPS of 1.110 and wOBA of .453 of them as well.

Wil Myers, IF: $9,600- Faces Patrick Corbin tonight who he is 4/8 off in his career. Including a HR, which he hit off Corbin last week. Has been the lone bright spot on the Padres offense and should get some opportunities vs. a struggling Pitcher.

Christian Yelich, OF: $8,400- In the top 3 in runs scored this season (19 runs), has also shown some power this year vs. RHP. Has 4 HRs in 56 ABs, gets to face Vincent Velasquez who is getting killed by the long ball (2.40HR/9). Doesn’t hurt that he is 3/8 with 2 HRs off Velasquez either.

Charlie Blackmon, OF: $10,200- Batting .389 with 1.484 OPS in the last week, has also homered 3 times in that span. Playing in a game where 11.5 runs are expected.

Steven Souza, OF: $8,000- Scorching hot over the last 7 days (2 HRs .414 avg), was just named AL Player of the Week. Gets a good matchup in Wade Miley, who should come back to earth after a good couple starts.

Chris Davis, UTL: $9,200- Hasn’t hit his HR groove yet this season but getting a familiar face in Erasmo Ramirez. Has hit a couple HRs off him and has a .316 avg.

Giancarlo Stanton, UTL: $8,800- Huge power guy vs. a Pitcher in Vincent Velasquez who is getting torched by the long ball. Also swinging a hot bat in his last 7 (4HRs .400avg.)

I’m Only Happy When it Rains

Lots of spots to be nervous about tonight up and down the East coast as BOSvsNYY, NYMvsATL, BALvsTB, and PHIvsMIA are looking dangerous with the games in Boston and New York looking particularly heinous.  Meanwhile, COLvsWAS is looking a bit oogy as well.  Though it’s not looking like a PPD threat, it might also be a good night to zig while everyone puts in the typical Coors stack with the ugly, cold weather they expect there.

Doing Lines in Vegas

As any time that Clayton Kershaw is on the mound, the LA Dodgers are going to be huge favorites. They are -220 and the O/U is 6.5. Second biggest favorite of the night are the Baltimore Orioles with Wade Miley on the mound. They are -150 and the O/U is sitting at 8.5. COL/WAS has a run expectancy of 11.5 runs, a slugfest is expected in Coors. SD/ARI is another game with some runs expected to be scored as the O/U is 9.5.
