I know it’s a little early for Throwback Thursday, but my Baltimore Boo is visiting later this week, so Thursday can’t get here fast enough.  I’m endorsing two guys tonight who have been racking up DFS points like a young MJ over their last six starts.  Brad Peacock, $22,400 is facing the not-so Fightin Phil’s in Philly tonight and he could easily rack up double digit K’s versus the lowest scoring team in baseball.  Peacock has been shaking his tail feathers all over the mound in his last six starts, averaging a solid 24 points per start.  A quick look into the numbers and you can easily see why he deserves to be strutting around; he’s 5-0 with a 1.84 ERA to go along with his 11.8 K/9.  I  know the Phillies play in a hitters park, but Peacock should easily post 25 points tonight and if he can get through 6 innings, he could possibly eclipse the 30 point mark.  Jacob deGrom, $26,100 is the most expensive player on the night, but he’s facing a Padres lineup who rank third in K’s versus RHP.  Apparently Jacob got his groove back because over his last six starts, he’s 6-0 with a 1.62 ERA to go along with an improved 8.6 K/9.  Obviously deGrom will be highly rostered tonight, so if you want to zig when others zag, then follow my lead to see what’s next.

Hyun-Jin Ryu, SP: $15,300 – I don’t typically roster pitchers coming off the DL, but with the new 10 day DL, I feel like the Dodgers have been treating their pitchers with kids gloves.  I can’t disagree with the strategy, as they own the league’s best record at 68-31.  I’m hoping Ryu is stretched out, because he could post a sneaky high score against the faltering Twins.

Kevin Gausman, SP: $14,400 – If you feel like gambling tonight, I advise you to throw some Gas into the mix and hope he stays hot.  This is a big risk, big reward play, as he’s facing a strikeout prone Rays lineup.

Nolan Arenado, IF: $10,400 – He’s not in Coors, but I heard from a reliable source that the winds at Busch Stadium just picked up and there’s a category 5 Homerun hitter entering the park.

Zack Cozart, IF: $8,800 – He’s been solid since his return from the DL and I love the matchup versus Josh Tomlin tonight.

Salvador Perez, IF: $8,000 – I’m zigging again guys! I don’t usually roster catchers, especially at this price, but he’s batting .410 against Justin Verlander in 61 AB’s.

Wilmer Flores, IF: $6,900 – The Lefty killer is facing Clayton Richard who is coming off an 11 run outing.  Richard is back in Petco, but it’s not enough to help him from getting lit up again tonight.

Daniel Descalso, IF: $6,900 – I’m hoping he’s in the lineup tonight, because he’s 8/13 vs R.A. Dickey.  I know Dickey’s been dealing, but he’s in Arizona and I don’t think the knuckle ball will be dancing tonight.

Marcell Ozuna, OF: $8,400 – I know he’s been a little quiet lately, but he’s facing Martin Perez in Arlington and I’m expecting a big night from the first time All-Star.

Rajai Davis, OF: $7,200 – He’s facing Francisco Liriano in Toronto.  Lefty masher who’s rocking a 12/33 BVP for $7K, yeah let’s roll with the King of SAGNOF.

Scott Schebler, OF: $6,600 – He hasn’t hit a HR in his last 11 games and I’m thinking tonight he might be good for 2.  He’s way overdue and he can’t use the Home Run Derby as an excuse.

Kevin Pillar, OF: $5,600 – If you’re rostering Peacock and deGrom you’ll need some value bats to help you cash in.  Pillar is at home against Chris Smith.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

It looks promising for a full slate today.  The only games that have a chance of rain are the following:

MIA at TEX 34%

HOU at PHI 33%

Doing Lines In Vegas

Kyle Hendricks return to Wrigley leads the board at -270 against their cross-town rival, followed closely by Zack Greinke, -220 vs the Braves.  The Marlins vs the Rangers, 10.5 O/U and the Reds vs the Indians, 10 O/U are tapped to be the highest scoring of the night.
