@Grey: That makes a great deal of sense! That is exactly why it was so hard for me to unload Maggs Ordonez; it's much easier to drop a Reimold or Rivera, then dump someone who is still owned by 90% of fantasy players, even though the rational part of me realizes that Maggs is toast. It's interesting that no one was willing to trade anything for Maggs, yet I would bet that if they owned him, they would hold on to him. For dropping him is admitting that I was a chump for drafting him low in the 5th round. @Corey: Grey graduated Summa Cum Laude from the BJSU (Bill James Sabermetrics University) He wrote his doctoral thesis on the Droppleganger Effect on Fantasy Blahtoons. It is now considered a classic, and must read in Razzball circles

@kR Express: I'm not going to call myself a fantasy "expert" because I don't know how you qualify for that! I've played and won a lot of h2h fantasy football leagues, but don't know the numbers. I did win 10 grand in the salary cap game over at Sporting News, which of course is different than your draft and trade leagues, but does rely on player evaluation. Hope that answers your question. Nobody is perfect, but we'll have fun over at the football headquarters of Razzball and we'll do our best not to suck.

Oh and Reynolds isnt exactly ‘outta nowhere’, the kid hit 28 HR’s last year. Yah yah, since he had those 2 hideous records that made everyone think sucked but… I dunno you can see this kid really cares about his game and gives 100% every time. Theres a reason he has 14 steals: Effort. People think steals are speed-based and sure, speed affects your success and overall attempts but it takes determination to steal bases. Its a messy job that wears on your body and more often than not shortens your career. But the great ones always try…

I'll try to think of and complete a trade, but my league-mates so inactive or lazy it's ridiculous. No trades are ever initiated and ones I make are always denied.

@Grey: Thanks for the quick reply. Trades are a hopeless proposition in my league, so I'll probably drop one of the guys I mentioned and pick up a stellar ratio MR to play daily. I know none of these is "droppable," really, but if you had to, which would go -- Pence, Rivera, Bruce, Hart? BTW, congrats on the football extension! Makes me want to give FFB a try.

@Prince: Including Manny, I would say that you have a plethora of outfielders. Perhaps package one or two of them and try to trade for a front line pitcher, or some other position that you may be weak in. As for your present dilemna, I would play Crawford, Pence, Hamilton, and Manny every day, and whoever else out of the three who is hot. I would only play Bruce against righthanders.

Grey—I use Razzball as the holy grail for my fantasy team, draft through current. I have a stellar team and have made it even better thanks to your tips and draft rankings. Your advice is 99.9% of the time spot-on.

I am going to quit swinging from your sack and get to the point—is your fantasy football staff for Razzball as knowledgeable in football as you are in baseball? I don’t want to base my draft on their predictions if they are just beginning writing fantasy football columns. Do they have experience and how long have they been playing.

Sorry for the noobish question, but I’ve never had bench players and too many to fill one position. I have Hamilton, Crawford, Pence, Bruce, Hart, and Rivera, but only 5 can play. Do I check batter vs. pitcher match-ups everyday? This seems tedious. Do I bench those in a slump? I’m not sure who I’d choose, but I guess Bruce or Hart. Thanks..
