I drafter V-Mart 4th for both my teams. I keep on hoping he’ll turn it around – he’s got to start start hitting home runs at some point, no? If not, who should I try to get instead?

This is my OF at the moment (start 3) – Alex Rios, Jay Bruce, Rick Ankiel, Joey Votto. I think I’m sticking with Rios and Bruce. Rios will turn it around and though I don’t expect Bruce to hit .500 with a home run every 2 days for the rest of the season, I think he’ll do well enough. Votto is my UTIL player and Ankiel is as sporadic as ever – I want someone I could leave in every day.

My question is this – what currently underperforming OF could I trade for that is guaranteed to either turn it around or perennially has a strong 2nd half?

I was offered prince, jason bay, and ibanez for sizemore and rios. ibanez i feel is drop worthy b/c my outfield already has carlos quentin and jay bruce and victorino. what do you think of that grey?

@RT: Work it to your advantage. Tell the person you're trading with you can't do the deal because you're not getting back enough value. I would say that the most active members in the league don't want to see so much talent move through the league, but that Wright trade says otherwise. Obviously people in the league value the players you are giving up, so you might have other offers for Ichiro or O Perez you haven't explored yet. I don't have much interest in Harden, but you could get Eveland for a struggling outfielder like Dye, Swisher, or Hawpe. Ichiro is a pretty valuable piece for a contending team. Loads of SB and guaranteed .300+ AVG.

@Joba Potter and the Chamberlain of Secrets: That's not an awful trade if you really need an extra OF. Lee pretty equal to Lee, Lee is better than Howard in some areas and less in others. Quentin adds a solid OF.

@Get Figgy With It: No way. It's a bad trade. @RT: I'm anti-veto unless the trade is absolutely chicken crap, i.e. Arod for Punto. In a keeper league, you really shouldn't be allowed to veto anything that involves a rookie, unless again it's absolutely horseshit. This trade is neither chicken crap or horseshit. It really sucks to be in a keeper league where you are not allowed to make trades to better your team for the future. Also, RT, you should repost this question in today's latest post, because sometimes people don't come this far back. Feel free to direct the people who vetoed the trade to come to the site and explain themselves.

Looking for some feedback. A trade for Ichiro/O Perez for Eveland/Harden just got vetoed in my league. It’s a keeper and I inherited a team in last place. I am obviously building for down the road and see Eveland as Shaun Marcum next year. Also, I don’t need the stats that Ichiro provides.

Whether or not this is a good or smart trade is not an issue. However, what I would like to know is whether it should be vetoed. If anyone remembers, two weeks ago I thought David Wright for BJUpton and BJRyan was not enough value. BUT, it did not get vetoed.
