Nice piece Grey, and totally agreed. A successful reach at the right stage of any draft can be a difference maker. If drafting at the corners the tactic can even be more effective. Nothing like shorting a position to strengthen ones own further on down the road.

In one of my drafts last year a guy took Yunel Escobar in the 6th round.

I think that’s the definition of reaching.

Plus he drafted reyes and tulo in the first two rounds.

He’s not very bright.
