@Steve: Last year ESPN leagues had same-day transactions, whereas any pickup you make on Yahoo is always for the next day.

@everyone: Are the add rules different on ESPN than on Yahoo? It looks like you can add/drop on game day, whereas when I’ve played on Yahoo you can’t.

Cos I’d be giving up the #3 waiver spot to grab Butler right now for one day…

Preseason wisdom would say Jose and that’s why he’s on my roster. Mind you, this is a shallow league (or else Felipe would have been drafted).

I feel so dirty.

I picked up Bonifacio.

Here’s my reasoning: I dropped Chris Ray, who got spanked today, while Sherrill held it down. Which means it’s probably 4-6 weeks before Ray gets the closing job in O-Town ASSUMING Sherrill melts down. PLUS I have Frank Frank, Gregg, and Capps, and Villa Neuva, so I’m not hurting for saves.

I am hurting for steals — knew that coming out of the draft. So I grab Bonifacio. If nothing else, he starts for me tomorrow. I don’t see much future for him behind Phillips (at 2B) and Wright (at 3B) but steals are steals. I can always drop him later — Ray was basically a dead spot in my roster. And who knows? It’s the Nady Principle — someone busts out every year. Someone.

And I need steals.

Still — I feel dirty. I feel like a teenager who got too excited on prom night.

I was ready to laugh at whoever picked him up — and that person was me.

Alas.

Ozzie: He batted 0.428, well then Wise will definitely lead-off.
