@IowaCubs: I’m still not completely sold on Soto or Wood, though I do have all three in different leagues. Fukudome went very cheap to me in an auction cause I don’t think anyone was sold on him. But with that said, he looks great and I’m glad I have him.

Franklin probably right now, then Springer when he gets off the DL (this Sunday). However, it would take an injury for Isringhausen to lose the role of closer. LaRussa’s a lot of things, but one positive is he’s loyal.

@Baron Von Vulturewins: Hold onto Rauch. I dropped Mark Lowe for Brocail and tried to drop Rafael Perez, but someone beat me to it. @wilson: Yeah, Wainwright is on 75% of my teams. Unfortunately, Hudson is too. I just hope it was one of those nights with Hudson, I've had him carry me for about thirteen months in one keeper. @josh: And you know that! @john: In Jan., I said this about Jacobs and Kotchman: http://razzball.com/top-twenty-1st-basemen-for-2008/ I still believe those projections. Conor has been hot thus far and I think he can really impact your average/runs/rbis but I don't believe the power. At least not yet.

i think it’s clear – if you are black, pitch lefty, plus wear your hat tilted & straight brimmed, you’re going to rise quickly and fall just as quick. first willis, now sabathia.

maybe sabathia has a tired arm. maybe it’s just a short-term blip. i think he’s unstartable right now and perhaps a guy worth gambling on if you can get him for a third-tier pitcher (i wouldn’t trade wainwright for him at this point)….

i’m going with jacobs/kotchman/jackson. jacobs should be worst in average but is looking like the 30 HR threat he’s always been rumored to be. i think kotchman and jackson are similar guys – uninspiring HR/RBI, .285 AVG types. i’ll give kotchman the edge b/c of his hot start and conor seems to sit the bench more….

I can pick up Brocail but it would mean dropping Jon Rauch, and I’ve got a bad feeling about Chad Cordero and his oft-massaged shoulder. Who do you think is the better bet for saves going forward?

Brocail is older than me, and I’m pretty old.
