@Terrence Mann: I didn't get around to a Larry Walker post but I don't have him as a 'yes' on my hypothetical ballot. He's a 'maybe' for now. He is equal to Edgar on career value - admittedly, Walker being the more well-rounded player. The issue I had with Walker is that he didn't have a lot of All-Star years. He had one MVP-like year of 9.0 WAR in 1997 and then three other 5.0+ WAR seasons. So he had 4 seasons above 5.0+ WAR and Edgar had 9! A lot of that was Walker only played more than 131 games once during his 29-33 seasons in COL. I'll probably write a post on him next year - just not sure what side of the fence he's on... @big o: I usually go into hiding once summer hits and write a lot in Jan-March. Sorry to bum you out with HOF posts. I'll be getting to Point Share stuff once stat and playing time projections are out....

this whole hof thing is soooo disappointing .

Rudy, if you’re going to make an argument for and against Edgar, I think it’s only fair that you do one for Larry Walker.

As you pointed out, Walker had a higher WAR. He was also an incredible fielder.
