BTW, I had no idea Cecil went to Dematha…that school just keeps pumping out top-notch athletes.

Freed from the miserable daily experience of having to wildly throw baseballs across the diamond and into the first row of seats all the time, he’s had a .380 OBP and a .900 OPS. Will be interesting to see if this continues.

Thanks, actually writing about Mike Trout today for another blog. Top 100 seems doable.

That would put him at the Brett Gardner/Trumbo/Joyce/Freeman/Corey Hart level.

I think he can exceed those expectations but there will be some growing pains — there have to be, right? He’s so young. I think when it’s all said and done he’ll be aroudn 100, there will be months where he’ll look top 20 and months where he’ll look unownable.

Walker, ROTW: 3 HRs, .280 AVG, 2-3 SBs
Ryan Roberts, ROTW: a .250 or so hitter with a couple of dingers and a couple of steals
Duda, ROTW:a .250 hitter with a couple of dingers
LoMo ROTW: .280 hitter with 3 or so HRs

Walker seems a no doubter, then it’s between Roberts and LoMo, speed for Roberts, average for LoMo.

Beltre over Roberts, if he’s healthy, he could be a series or two away from returning

I’m an E5 convert though, was nowhere near him at all until lately. I just looked at his K numbers and didnt do the deeper analysis. When you fold back the covers, you and Cory Schwartz were right on about this guy.

I also think I might have to abandon the Orioles for the Blue Jays as i seriously love what they do.

You are darn right and i had meant to write about Paulino earlier for Razzball, but he kept falling down the list — not sure why. Most of the credit for his selection has to go to you and Joe Sheehan.

I’ll take Mike Olt — i like that he’s older and presumably closer to the majors. I’ve enjoyed his advanced approach since joining the Braves organization. I just think he’ll be the quickest to reap rewards, which is important here.

I really think the Jays spared E5 from a similar early career meandering fate as Cust. Put E5 in a place to succeed and he can get on base and wallop the ball

When E5 gets on a streak, it’s fun to watch. Hopefully he gets a bit more consistent. I think it may be helping that he is mostly DHing now, along with playing first occasionally.
