I don’t trust Sheets, but neither do I young pitchers. There are simply no more options.

Right now I’m tending to Cecil or Sheets….

@Grey: Hey Nate the great’s run at Metco today won me R’s and my week. Props!

I saw the opposite of perfection at Metco today. Bad Craziness as HST would say. Never been to a colder, windier game – at least not since Game 3 88 NLCS the slip n slide/Jay Howell emoryboard game… Like I imagine Candlestick must have been. Rowand’s shot looked like a pop fly and Bay’s looked like a homer.

Best feature at Metco is being able to hang by the pen… oh and the obscene choices of beer. Watching the pitchers warm up, Oli almost hit Werthen. Great to see Tim in the pen pre-game on some Neo Matrix shit.

Meija needs to be starting in AAA and Manual/Manaya need to go.

@Awesomus Maximus: Ya I do look at BABIP, but I'm curious how to read GB%, FB%, LD%, ISO, O-swing%, etc. For pitchers I generally look at xFIP, but I want to look at more than just those 2 categories.

@Cheese: BABIP is probably the most "basic" of the advanced stats for that sort of thing. Low BABIP for a batter can indicate he's getting "unlucky" (opposite for high BABIP, obviously). Put that up to a mirror for pitchers (low BABIP is lucky, high is unlucky).
