@charlie hustler, I'm in a similar league.

FWIW, if A-Gonz had been in the NL all year with the same stats, he would have produced about $23-$26 dollars of value (there's some range because I'm in OBP instead of AVG--also DH hitters affects the league values).

Park factors for LA are slightly better for lefty home runs than Boston, but on the other hand, NL-west parks are better pitcher parks than AL-East. So maybe a couple extra dingers but a slightly lower AVG/OBP. Lineup would be better so maybe a few more counting stats.

And that doesn't count inflation on hitters from your keeper league. I think he's clearly worth $25 but I don't know if he's a *value* at $25. Sometimes it's worth keeping an impact guy at-value, though.

For comparison, my value calculations put Howard at $3 worth of production so far this year (not including replacement level stats for the time he missed), and he ended last season at $30. So if you believe he's going to come back to old form, Howard is definitely the better value.

In my league, we CAN bid on DL players, so I'm stuck in a conundrum trying to figure out how much Crawford is worth.

@charlie hustler, I'd bid it all on Agony. It may be on the high side, but it also might be not enough so I'd take a shot, he's worth more than $25.
NL ONLY. Classic Rotisserie. $260, 9 pitchers, 14 position players. One bid per week, 3-year contracts. Bids in excess of $24 require keeping said player.

I have $39 left to spend, thanks to Greinke and change.

Give me a 2013 value for AGony* and Beckett (DL players are ineligible, so no go on Crawford) and Jacob Turner.

A bid of $25 scares off anyone not willing to keep said player, so I can speculatively add AGony, but is he worth $25+ and is he worth more than $14 Howard?

I think I can land Beckett at $11, based on owners being more likely to speculate on AGony.

Or, I can quietly bid on Jacob Turner at $7 minimum bid and get two additional years at a bargain price.

I can keep both Howard and AGony, with one as CI.

So, I'm already leaning towards Beckett. Thoughts? I have until Tuesday to make this decision, so thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

*AGony - an attempt at clever, based on my life-long Red Sox affiliation and my belief that we got nothing in return other than salary relief.

@Rags, If you have a chance of competing for a championship I'd bid it all on AGone. If not I'd try to get Crawford for next year but I wouldn't bid a lot.
NL-only OBP keeper league, and I have no idea how AL players are doing at all. Multi-part, complicated question so any opinions welcome.

All teams have up to 50 of FAAB to spend on players moving into the NL. There are no "if" bids, so the total spent can't add up to more than 50 if you bid on more than one player. What you bid is what you can keep them at for next year. But if you bid more than 20, it is a mandatory long term contract for next year (with massive 2X the contract in real money penalty to break). So if I REALLY want A-Gonz, I can bid 50, but that screws me for next year.

What should I bid for A-Gonz? And how much would you spend on Crawford for him to be a worthwhile keeper next year? (We have unlimited DL spots.)

Is Beckett worth a bid? I have Joe Kelly and Chris Young as my two worst pitchers, but Chacin will either have to be activated or dropped after next week and on the wire are: Eovaldi, Turner, Skaggs, Corbin and Stults.

So, thoughts?
