Yeah, Santana is a tough cookie to crack. Good it be concussion symptoms from earlier in the year? Or maybe a hidden injury? Just to hard to tell. Like I mentioned, while his OBP and SLG are pretty ugly, most of his rate stats look okay to me. I have a feeling its a down year, but if it is injury, we most likely won’t see regression until ledge season. But I hope I’m wrong since I own him in a couple of dynasties and could use his help now.

Hanson’s new ARM slot has brought along a high FIP and Cueto is due for regression. Always try to add a smaller piece though, something he/she doesn’t mind, like a high k bullpen piece or perhaps a low MiLB draft pick to gamble on. I think you could make the case here with either player.

Even if you sell low, you might get a useful piece (MiLB guy or draft pick) instead of just dropping him. I know if I saw him dropped and I was in the bottom half, I’d gamble with a waiver claim. Maybe try and land an under the radar prospect like Bostick, Gregarious, or Gennet, etc.
