@Pefacommish, You’re absolutely right, and had Aroldis Chapman struck out the side Friday night he would have gotten Dave Hester’s “Yuuup,” over Kimbrel. But if we’re choosing closers I want Chapman ROS, for sure.

@FilthyRich, I’d stick with what you have. I might lean towards McAllister over Arroyo or Billingsley though if you need the extra start. Boston’s line up doesn’t scare me like it used to.

There is no denying how great Kimbrel had been, but Aroldys Chapman’s numbers are INSANE. Similar ERA, WHIP, 25 saves (and he didn’t close for a month) plus 4 wins (none for Kimbrel). Equal value in 4 by 4. Chapman now has 100 K’s compared to 73 for Kimbrel, more than everyone except top starters.

H2H Points league, which 5 starting pitchers for upcoming week:
Billingsley (COL)
Karstens (ARI, SD)
McAllister (MIN, BOS)
Parker (LAA, @chw)
Arroyo (@mil, @chc)
Maholm (@nym)
Bumgarner (@stl)
Lincecum (COL)

Right now I have Bills, Arroyo, Bumgarner, Lincecum, and Karstens in my lineup, but I’d like to get a couple extra starts. I don’t like Parker’s matchups at all and McAllister’s start vs BOS could ruin a decent one against MIN. WOuld you plug either of them in instead of the five I have and if so, who?

Sometimes all I have time for in the morning is Razzball and it’s off to work, I have built a pretty high confidence in Razzballs dependability on keeping me informed, especially in the roundups. I zipped through this post this morning but never checked the comments, if there were any at that time. Tonight I check them out and commenters inform me that two of my players somewhere on my 10 teams were injured significantly last night. Part of Grey’s unique must reads is that he always hits a blurb on a high % owned player that was injured last night. I probably could have arranged for Ruiz and Boneface to be replaced this morning if their names were in your roundup. Some of us find this just as important that dead presidents and such. I know you don’t manage our teams, we do, but I wanted to point out that I think you should add this dimension to your posts. I appreciate the Friday night roundup since it was started and wish you the best with it!

7 keepers. $360 budget with 33 man rosters. pretty deep league.

been so far out of it I’ve been dismantling whatever value i had in guys to get best keeper scenario. so I have to pick 7 of these guys and i can keep them for 5 yrs at a 10% inflation per yr. got some real good choices not sure what to do:

$13 Buster Posey, $7 Paul Goldschmidt, $15 Jason Kipnis, $6 Brett Lawrie, $20 Adam Jones, $3 Alex Gordon, $5 Starling Marte, $4 Mike Moustakas, $5 Mike Olt, $2 Trevor Bauer.

@ryan, I would keep what you got, especially if you’re no longer in contention. You have Kershaw and Cliff Lee you don’t really need another stud like CC. And if you are looking for pitching help rest of season I’d aim a little lower than Sabathia first.

“I don’t think he’ll come back this year,” Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said after Friday’s double-header. “I hope so, but in my mind he’s gone. The way he was acting, the pain, I’m not looking for a day-by-day thing.” The Marlins will recall Nick Green from Triple-A on Saturday to take Bonifacio’s roster spot, but whether Green or Donnie Murphy takes over as the regular second baseman remains to be seen.
