As things currently stand in the RCL is sitting in a tie. The JOB Squad and the Bacon Bits are tied up at 135. I feel like the Mets giving up that many points in a day. If the tie-breaker is ERA I’ll have to be content in 2nd. The JOBbers are sitting in first place in that category.

Here’s hoping the extra-innings Boston-Yankees game somehow affects the scoring enough so that one of us is a clear-cut victor. Championships based on tie-breakers are like deciding a draw in boxing with a game of Chess. Now the full-blown sport of Chess-boxing, on the other hand, is an entirely different thing which I wholeheartedly support.

As a baseball fan I want a Rays/Sawx ALCS. Then I begrudgingly would want the chips to fall where they may. I am still waiting for that dropoff due to inexperience everyone has been talking about since August.

Here’s an 09 question – Pedroia for MVP in the AL? Was this year a flash in the pan?
From my side of the fence I like his scrappiness but damn that swing and that fram are hard to figure out.

You know I haven’t ventured into football. I like my Pats and really am kind of ignorant about some of the categories and players beyond the AFC. Not a good combo because as far as I know it Patriots players don’t always make good fantasy players.

Plus being a teacher my life gets crazy in September when I would need to focus on a fantasy team.

We’ll see how I feel in a couple of weeks after no fantasy baseball. I think Razzball commenting might get me through.

@BigFatHippo: Yeah it was fun – It looks like Grey and Razzball have some league plans for next year. I would like to see the first RCL maintained in 2009 while weeding out the 2 or 3 quitters to make it a 14 team league.
As to being a good sport my family may disagree. She thinks I’ve been cranky because of the extra classwork and lack of sleep from the kids. HA! Little does she know I am a closet razzer. I want a new drug, one that won’t make me sick.
As to my showing in the RCL in the end I looked at the points I kept getting to maintain my shitty position as less points for others. I also began figuring out what I was looking for and how to find it.

I just logged on to StatTracker with Yahoo. Yesterday, I was in second by 10 points – 170.5 to 160.5. I’m waiting for the Yankees/Sox game, but as it stands right now, I am up 166 to 165. I cannot believe it!!!! I had Jimenez, Lincecum and Listch go today. My very last transaction was to pick up Freddy Garcia for tomorrow. I’d need 5Ks to stay in front.

Braun, Krisby, Konerko, and Uggla give me one of the greatest last-day offensive comebacks ever. Also got 21 scoreless innings from Kuroda, CG Sabathia, and Baker to overcome a .3 ERA and 2 W deficit. As long as I can hold either 2 TB, a 2RBI, or a .06 avg lead, I will be declared victorious. He has Damon and Nady going into the 2nd game though, so I’m worried. I wonder if that game’s even gonna get played. I obviously have a bias in the matter. If I win, I promise to keep Krispy no matter how much he doesn’t deserve it.
