Maybe I’m the only one who picked up on your Of Human Bondage reference, but it was genius, Grey. As for the deepening catcher pool, I am skeptical. I didn’t draft Wieters last year in any league, and that paid off. Honestly, I just as happy to draft Mike Napoli and forget the C position exists on my roster. As far as I’m concerned, a solid contributor at the C is more valuable than risking an upside pick.

Dallas McPherson again chose the wrong team to sign with. He’s now behind both Fox and Chavez in the depth chart for 3B in Oakland.

They’ll probably find room for all 3 of Fox, Cust and Chavez to play. With a bit of luck, Fox will catch a few games and gain catcher eligibility.
