@sean: I misspoke -- Giambi's a 1st baseman too. I'm still not crazy about him. As a late flier for power, I could see it, but you need to have the average to balance it.

This doesn’t matter much fantasy-wise, but who is playing where in the Cubs’ OF? Bradley in center?

MB’ll certainly have opportunities if he hits 5th behind Ramirez, and I don’t think that he’ll suffer much of a drop off in HRs moving from Arlington to Wrigley.

IFFFFF he can stay healthy, I think another 80/20/80 is within reach.

Saw that more DL All-Stars got signed today: Proctor to the Marlins and Pavano to the Tribe…

Heard that the Giambi/As deal is almost completed. Is he worth a late-round flier? Does the As lineup have enough pop for him to be worthy of consideration?

Also just heard that Marquis to the Rockies for Vizcaino finally got done (Yawn).

@big o: Yes, that's also true. His career BABIP is only .326 so his average is due to come down too. He's not a good bet to repeat his numbers, but he'll probably get in 120 games and hit 17 HRs and bat .300, with 5 to 7 steals. I don't like him for fantasy, but if you know when those 120 games are going to be and if you have a worthy replacement the other 40 games he can be usable. The problem is a lot of times you have no idea when he's sitting out and you end up getting very frustrated.

I’d expect more runs from Bradley than 80 this season, depending on how his knee has healed. Also, Lou plans on moving Aramis from the 4th spot to either the 3rd or the 5th against righties to make room for Bradley hitting cleanup.

If he gets 500 plate appearances hitting cleanup or 5th, then he’s basically Adam Lind with more runs.
