Broxton, I like but he’s had a lot of bumps this year. Hunter, I like but he is what he is, which is a 1/2 the player of Holliday. And Mags is 1/2. I want Holliday. So if you can stand the hit losing those guys, you gotta grab Holliday. What I was saying is sometimes people don’t want to part with their prized possessions (Holliday), no matter how fair.

I would not do the Mags/Hunter for Beltran. Beltran will get you what? 10 steals? That’s going to help you? If so, trade Marte (or some other third tier schmohawk closer) for Bourn or just pickup Bourn off waivers and sub him in on Mondays and Thursdays when someone has the day off. Or get rid of the MI that you don’t like and grab Velez and watch him run wild.

I proposed it but Grey’s probably right, he’ll value him too high. Upton and Holliday are his only source of steals and he’s in 3rd place.

I’ve got one other option.

Maggs, Hunter for Beltran. The guy with Beltran is out of the running but I’ve traded with him before.

I’m weak in steals (Sizemore, Kaz, not much else).
