@<a href="#comment-176459" rel="nofollow">tHe ShiT</a>: Filthy as in Pelfrey? If so, yeah, he was not my optimal choice at the time but I needed to do something about the damage Colby Lewis had been doing to my roster. If I were to drop Pelfrey, do you think Ervin or Billingsley? Both are somewhat wildcards to me as Ethier is not anywhere back to where he was, thus Bills hampering the Dodgers lineup (aside from Kemp and a few others)

Ervin is rocking a 6-3 record with a 70/24 K/BB and 3.29 ERA, 1.27 WHIP
Bills is 6-3 with a similar 66/24 K/BB and 3.80 ERA, 1.34 WHIP

Is Sanchez worth keeping, though, with his 4-4 record, 68/31 K/BB, 2.63 ERA and 1.10 WHIP? I like his stats, aside from the win/loss column and his high K rate, but he rarely has any run support. Niemann looks pretty good, even though he seems to be a bit of a wild card, with that uncanny powerful Rays offense helping out when it chooses to. Niemann has that 6-0 record with a less surgical but still good 51/22 K/BB rate, 2.48 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.

Part of me thinks I should be changing two pitchers, dropping (unfortunately) Sanchez and Pelfrey for guys like Bills/Ervin and Niemann. If San Fran has more run support, I wouldn't let him go. And I am in an 8 man league that everyone is loaded and no one is wanting to make trades...

Grey, my pitching staff right now is Halladay, David Price, Kershaw, J. Sanchez, Pelfrey, Valverde and Marmol. I just picked up Pelfrey quickly from the options open to me in FA, not seeing the guys listed above. I am not quite sold on Pelfrey, even though he has pitched well as of late, mostly because of the Mets' inability to do it well on the road. I picked him up after I dropped Colby Lewis because, in spite of Lewis winning the other night, he has become increasingly erratic again and I don't trust him into summer.

If I were to pick up say Niemann or one of the other guys on the list for Sanchez (or maybe you think I should hold on to him), do you see an advantage in perhaps dropping two of my pitchers for some of those guys? Thx again for any advice, Grey. Thx to anyone.

I have Jonathan Sanchez on my pitching staff, and aside from his his historically high K's, he's not doing well this season. And we all know that a lot of it has to do with very little run support. So, I am thinking of dropping him for another pitcher with a better supporting cast and so on. What's your advice/thoughts on the following available pitchers?:

Ervin Santana
Jeff Niemann
Chad Billingsley
Jon Garland

Statistically so far, Niemann looks to be the best choice and is pitching for the, if not erratic, best team in baseball. But what do you think? Should I drop Sanchez for one of them? Thx, Grey.

Is Jay Bruce pretty fair return for Aaron Hill? I got Hill off waivers in the first place, so it's pretty much found money. I needed outfield help, not a backup 2B who forgot that his job is pretty much just to hit baseballs.

I know I don't need 2 catchers, but I'm having a really hard time with the idea of letting Posey go to another owner. He just won't stop hitting! ZiPS doesn't project a huge difference in his production the rest of the way and Posada's. Do you see it differently?

I'd like to get a stud outfielder (at least a #2) in exchange for Bautista & Posey/Posada, but I feel like that package is worth more. If the deal looked like this:

(my) Bautista + Posey/Posada
for
(his)BJ Upton/Curtis Granderson + [Player X]

Let's assume Player X is a good-but-not-great SP (Billingsley, Oswalt, Beckett, etc.). Is that reasonable? Should I aim higher? Lower?

Should I go check if my basement is flooding? Yes, I should. Back in a minute.

This trade fair?

B McCann and D Span
for
C Crawford

I have M Montero (coming back soon) and C Santana (called up soon?)
He has K Suzuki at C

If he wants A McCutchen instead of D Span is it a deal breaker?
I don't think I can part with two Micks in one trade... have to keep the Irish mojo going.

@<a href="#comment-176419" rel="nofollow">Grey</a>: and anyone else's opinion is appreciated. Some RCL wheeling and dealing:

My Ibanez for Michael Young (i accepted)

Here's the big one: My Rollins and Ellsbury for His Alexie Ramirez and Werth.

Now initially i'm getting raped, but i'm sick of rollins and ellsbury, both have done nothing for me, if they both come back and play all year i'm screwed in this deal, but i think rollins re-injures and Ells i've heard thru a boston fan/area source is represented by Boras and his contract is up next yr and he's almost looking to shut ells down so he can get healthy and command bigger money (or something like that, i'm drinking)......

anyways, alexie is always a second half ish guy and werth should break outta this funk when the rest of the phillies break outta their funk.....

@Grey: @any other prospect maven: Matt Carson's starting in center for Oakland. From his MiLB numbers, he looks like a little-bit-of-everything sort of guy with good OBP. Think he's useful in a 15 team, 5 OF, OBP format? Like him over Scott Hairston?

Grey or anyone else:

I've got 2 questions for 2 different leagues:

1) 16 team H2H 6x6 (OPS, K/BB) Kuroda just got dropped in my league, who should i drop to pick him up: Cecil, Gio, Seth Smith, or Damon (I really hate to lose any of them, but my squad is that stacked currently)

2) 12 team NL-Only: Just got offered Nyjer Morgan for my Tabata, should i pull the trigger, my gut says yes, but it's been wrong before. It's really apples for apples and i have a 12 in R and 8 in SB currently, but it seems like a good upgrade.
