We’re currently at sixty completely full leagues. I now have a waiting list for future leagues. Contact me if you are interested in getting on the list, which has already proven very helpful after unexpected dropouts. Three leagues lost owners yesterday, but all were refilled in short order. And, if we collect enough names, a new free RCL will be set up. Feel free to include your preferred draft times. I can’t guarantee you will be accommodated, but we will do our best. There is also a league with a $25 buy-in that has 9 openings. Check out the Signup sheet if you need the thrill of money on the line, and send the league organizer, Dave, a note.

Registration slowed down a bit last week, but we still gained 29 teams. Several leagues had dropouts, but most have been refilled and we are left with just 3 leagues with a single opening. Check it out to see if there is a league to suit you. We also reached the magic 60-league mark, hitting our goal with almost 3 weeks to spare. I’m now setting up a waiting list for future leagues. Contact me if you are interested in getting in on the 700-team Razzball Commenter League action! Once we’ve collected enough names, a new RCL will be set up. Feel free to include preferred draft times, though I can’t guarantee you will be accommodated, we will do our best.

We added another 65 teams in the last week, and now have 688 teams. Some of the Razzball experts have formed the 58th league, Razzball Elites, to compete in the RCL. There are currently only openings in a $50 buy-in league, so, you know what that means. Please head over to the RCL Registration post to see how you can become a commissioner, or just add a team to one of the leagues. (For a step-by-step guide to creating a new league, see this post in the fantasy baseball forums.) Next week we’ll cap the leagues and start a waiting list so we will have managers to fill late openings and create complete 12-team leagues when we have enough signed up.

After an excellent response last week, we now have 623 teams. This will be my 3rd season keeping track of things in the RCL. In 2011 there were 38 leagues; the number jumped 26% last year to 48, and I expect a similar growth this year once the March rush hits. So, of course, we need more commissioners. Thanks to Sea Pilot for opening a league last night. That draft is set for a Thursday evening. That gives us 9 new slots to fill, plus 4 more in a new keeper league which will not be eligible to be in the RCL after the 2013 season. Dave also signed up, with a Saturday morning draft, but did not provide a working link yet. It should be fixed tonight. Please head over to the RCL Registration post to see how you can become a commissioner, or just add a team to one of the leagues. (For a step-by-step guide to creating a new league, see this post in the fantasy baseball forums.)

First off, thanks to everyone who has already signed on as a Razzball Commenter League commissioner. With 40 days to go until opening day, 531 teams have been created so we are well on the way to breaking last year’s record of 576 teams. Currently, there are just 10 openings for new teams; 1 of those has a $50 buy in, 1 has a 7 AM ET draft, while 7 more are in a new keeper league which will not be eligible to be in the RCL next season, so we need more commissioners!! Please head over to the RCL Registration post to see how you can become a commissioner, or just add a team to one of the leagues.

Congratulations to the 2012 champions, RCL 40′s Rank Railheads. Co-managers Charley and JungleMike guided the Railheads to an incredible 119-point finish, missing out on perfection by a mere 3 stolen bases. While they had pretty much clinched their league title long ago, the overall title was up for grabs, and they continued to carefully make the moves necessary to stay ahead of the pack.

The Rank Railheads hit the magic 120 mark in RCL 40, but panthers_freak (We’ve Got the Runs — Baseball Reasons) made a charge and now is just 2 back of the Railheads (118-116) in the Master Standings with 3 days to go.  We’ve Got the Runs is almost certain to gain half a point in Wins, so if the Railheads drop back to 119, this championship could be decided by fractions of a point.

The Rank Railheads (RCL 40) are looking like champions with 10 days to go, stretching their lead atop the Master Standings to 6. The Railheads are still scoring 119 league points, and a perfect 120 is a possibility. They are now a mere 3 runs behind Chin Music after outscoring them 46 – 35 this week.

The Rank Railheads (RCL 40) continue to set an amazing pace atop the Master Standings, thanks to a still unbelievable 119 league points. Last week I said they were too far behind Chin Music in the Runs category to score a perfect 120, which I guess they took as a challenge.
