unc may stress the right values , but do they rub off ?
from what i have seen , there’s not a philanthropic bone in mj’s body .
and probably never will be .
i consider it a character flaw .

Seriously, I can remember seeing the UNC-Georgetown game on TV here all those years ago when MJ made the game-winng shot. Couldn’t say I’ve followed college basketball religiously since – more just had an interest in US sport generally.

I have read Halberstam’s biography of Jordan in which he examines the UNC program in some depth and from this distance it certainly seems as though they stress all the right values both in basketball and more generally.

@Steve: Tis that, yes. I'm impressed that you know your college hoops. Sorry I don't know anything about cricket, looks like fun. We have too many sports in the US, hard to concentrate on others. I'm becoming a very fine bocce ball player though. So I got that going for me.

@BigFatHippo: the thing i like about Psycho-T is that he may not be the most talented guy on the floor but he gets everything out of what he has. but if they run in to syracuse in march ill still be pulling for the "upset special"
