I am trying to decide between these 3 second year players in my keepers league, im going to keep 2 of them. Brett Lawrie, Desmond Jennings & Jesus Montero. Im already pretty convinced that im going to keep Lawrie but what do i do between Jennings & Montero. I already have quite a bit of speed so its making me lean more towards Montero, what ur opinion and do u think Montero will see enough ABs this year

Just getting called up and on the roster doesn’t make him the starter over Russ Martin. Montero’s an unknown for opponents pitching staff, give them some games against him to understand his tendencies and weaknesses and then see if he can produce good enough to start. Yankees signed Martin as starter and he’s put up good numbers, handled the pitching staff well. I don’t see Montero as a long range catcher, too big to last behind the plate for career-his future might be at a different position.

In response to your response Grey, I was giving up a draft pick in order to get Cain, but am gonna put that one on the back burner for now I think.

Do wanna get Bruce though and think im close to completing a deal. It’s Bruce and a 3rd round draft pick for a 1st round pick (both prospect draft picks).

I do think I need a ‘franchise player’ but the only issue is his contract. It’s currently $22 and I think the best option would be a 2 year deal which would up it to $28. How much do you see Bruce going for next year, does it sound like a solid price?
